teenageninja
I think it will be some sort of grandfather law, we already have the rides under that name, so they can't have us change them. Scooby isn't going anywhere don't worry.

Scooby_Doo
iam sure Pki will renew the contract didnt they have to renew it to build the haunted castle?
teenageninja
No they didn't. Trust me PKI has a way to get around contracts. There is no way that they would have built Scooby without getting the clearence for 10 years.
kingsislandfan1972
Its February 2017, and there sits an empty theater, which I hope will be used once again someday.
PKI96
Working there in '96, not a big Nascar guy but always dug that Days of Thunder ride (hence the profile image). And rarely a line IIRC.
Shawn Meyer
I was just thinking about this ride today. If Days of Thunder still operated at Kings Island, would it still be a popular ride or would it be more like, "meh".? Maybe they wouldn't call it days of thunder anymore, but they could call it Nascar - the ride or something more clever than that.
Italian Job 2005
I would call Days of Thunder seriously outdated, but then again Captain EO at Epcot lasted forever and it still got some iota of crowds in its theater.
Magenta Lizard
Parts of Days of Thunder's video were dated even when it started. I do wish there was still a motion ride in there tho.
silver2005
Well, the entire ride film was lifted from the movie. Just sayin'.
Shawn Meyer
Well what if they used today's NASCARS and created their own theme with it? I know Cedar Fair isn't that good with theme, but they could try it anyway.
PKI96
A random thing I remember from this ride was that during DOT (it may have changed during other incarnations), the seat cushion was velcrod on to the seat, so after each ride, you could peel it off and find a small pile of loose change. The 16 year old me love "making money" by checking this after each ride.
johnaalexis
Think they would ever flip it to something like the Plant v. Zombies they did at Carowinds?
Creed Bratton
It would be nice, although Plants Vs. Zombies isn't real amazing. I've done it twice. They almost have too many players per screen, you really can't track where you are aiming....where you've hit. It's a great addition for families though. I don't see anything major entering ActionFX theater for a while though. I think they'd have to reroute the path to get there....going around WindSeeker is quite the pain in the butt, especially with more than a few people. I know when I went to Haunt a couple of years ago, I wanted to punch several people who just weren't walking fast enough or just kind of standing around in groups in that area.
