April 7, 200917 yr A word. Testing. Testing. This may or may not indicate what the ride will actually be like.
April 7, 200917 yr Today is the kind of day I wish I could be on that! Does anyone know if there will be a bridge over the splash area like Congo? It wasn't in the animation, but as we know from Diamondback; somethings will and won't actually be there like in the animation...
April 7, 200917 yr I always thought those rides needed water to run. Does Congo have track under the water too? I thought I would have noticed it before Congo opened for the day.
April 7, 200917 yr I always thought those rides needed water to run. Does Congo have track under the water too? I thought I would have noticed it before Congo opened for the day. No, but I'm sure the boats have upstop so they don't fly off the bunny hop.
April 7, 200917 yr Congo or Amazon Falls as I still call it does have a track in the water. The track is more of a guide track and it does float along back to the station. If you watch the video of the testing of Pilgrims Plunge you can see part of the guide track sticking out of the water.
April 7, 200917 yr I often saw Splash Mtn at WDW testing w/o water on the final drop and it was always neat to see them turn the water on, so to speak, just before opening.
April 7, 200917 yr Holiday World is #1 on my new parks of 2009 list. I have never been there before, and can't wait to experience it. Big splash ending, or not!

April 28, 200917 yr Blog Entry from the Holiblog John happily emailed me the photo with the Pepsi guys, quipping: "Kings Island may have Diamondback, but we've got Truckback!"
April 28, 200917 yr I will be going in about a month. I am looking forward to riding that thing. That elevator lift is going to be the scariest part!

April 29, 200917 yr The drop may not be steep but I bet that baby will deliver with some extreme air-time!
April 29, 200917 yr More and likely, I will be visiting Holiday World for the first time this summer.. and I want to know exactly the do's and don't's of the park. Thanks for your help in advance..
April 29, 200917 yr Don't pay anything extra for soft drinks, sun tan lotion or tubes at the waterpark. Or parking. Don't expect the park to be empty nowadays...it very seldom is. Don't miss out on the food, especially the fudge! And do have fun!
April 29, 200917 yr More and likely, I will be visiting Holiday World for the first time this summer.. and I want to know exactly the do's and don't's of the park. Thanks for your help in advance.. Be sure to go to Splashin' Safari as soon as it opens, and stay til' you've ridden all the good stuff. Than I'd probably go to Voyage, Pilgrim's Plunge, than make your way to 4th. of July and Halloween. You'll for sure be able to get alot of re-rides on almost everything!
April 29, 200917 yr ^ Thanks Terpy! Ive heard a few different things about the new water ride... for those that have ridden it.. is it worth it?
April 29, 200917 yr The park does not open until Saturday. Splashing Safari doesn't even open until May 15. http://www.holidayworld.com/schedule.html Edited April 29, 200917 yr by The Interpreter
April 29, 200917 yr Don't expect the park to be empty nowadays...it very seldom is. I should note, Saturday, May 24th, 2008 was a beautiful weather day, AND everything was walk-on or at worst station wait, AND it was HWN to boot!! All that said, it is true that HW can be a packed monster and I've been lucky, but weekdays are fairly safe...
April 29, 200917 yr We get to go to Holiday World for the first time this year for HWN. I can't wait! Gator, pretty please post a trip report so I know what I get to look forward to.
April 29, 200917 yr ^Here's my TR from HW last year: http://www.KICentral.com/forums/index.php?...c=14688&hl= And believe me, I completely plan on posting one for this trip too.
April 29, 200917 yr I was supposed to go to PP media day tomorrow, but can't now unfortunately. However, I plan on making it out there this summer for sure.

April 30, 200917 yr That splash doesn't look as intense as I would expect. Perhaps the water level is down? We'll see how it runs Saturday!
