Coney Islander
Isn't there supposed to be water on the drop?
The Interpreter
A word. Testing. Testing. This may or may not indicate what the ride will actually be like.
DropZone99
Today is the kind of day I wish I could be on that! Does anyone know if there will be a bridge over the splash area like Congo? It wasn't in the animation, but as we know from Diamondback; somethings will and won't actually be there like in the animation...
Coney Islander
I always thought those rides needed water to run. Does Congo have track under the water too? I thought I would have noticed it before Congo opened for the day.

Vortex
Congo or Amazon Falls as I still call it does have a track in the water. The track is more of a guide track and it does float along back to the station. If you watch the video of the testing of Pilgrims Plunge you can see part of the guide track sticking out of the water. Gabe
I often saw Splash Mtn at WDW testing w/o water on the final drop and it was always neat to see them turn the water on, so to speak, just before opening.
marlfox_21
Holiday World is #1 on my new parks of 2009 list. I have never been there before, and can't wait to experience it. Big splash ending, or not!

HTCO
More and likely, I will be visiting Holiday World for the first time this summer.. and I want to know exactly the do's and don't's of the park. Thanks for your help in advance..
The Interpreter
Don't pay anything extra for soft drinks, sun tan lotion or tubes at the waterpark. Or parking. Don't expect the park to be empty nowadays...it very seldom is. Don't miss out on the food, especially the fudge! And do have fun!

Thanks for your help in advance.. Be sure to go to Splashin' Safari as soon as it opens, and stay til' you've ridden all the good stuff. Than I'd probably go to Voyage, Pilgrim's Plunge, than make your way to 4th. of July and Halloween. You'll for sure be able to get alot of re-rides on almost everything! The Interpreter
The park does not open until Saturday. Splashing Safari doesn't even open until May 15. http://www.holidayworld.com/schedule.html Edited April 29, 2009 by The Interpreter
tigellinus
Don't expect the park to be empty nowadays...it very seldom is. I should note, Saturday, May 24th, 2008 was a beautiful weather day, AND everything was walk-on or at worst station wait, AND it was HWN to boot!! All that said, it is true that HW can be a packed monster and I've been lucky, but weekdays are fairly safe...

XGatorHead 8904
That splash doesn't look as intense as I would expect. Perhaps the water level is down? We'll see how it runs Saturday!
CedarPointer
That splash is really pathetic... the ride looks very skippable, in my opinion.
