With opening day coming up so soon, it's time to think about our plans! Are you planning on working that day? Being in the park as a guest? or not going and waiting a few weeks?

My plans are to not work (hopefully I get the day off, these plans are all if I do not have to work) and go to the park with my friends I gave my comp tickets to. We'll try to be the first group on Scooby!

I am preatty sure that I will be there on opening day April 12th, but something may come up. It's not likely that something will but something might. ph34r.gif

I bet I'll be working that Friday, but we probably only need two sups that night and maybe I'll get the night off. Yet if I do get the night off, that probably equates into recieving the early shift for the official opening day that Saturday.

I will be working as i am sure most pki employees will be. it would have to be a darn good excuse to get off that day cuz u need to get familiar with ur work area (thats for all the new people). but if ur a guest, come see me at face/off or congo falls! biggrin.gif

Hah! I live near Miami Trace! I was orignally going to take the ACT there on April 12th as well, but I have a 30 Hour Famine that I'm going to instead. I've got about 10 more chances to take the ACT, and I think a money-raiser for starving children is more important. Plus, I'm going to PKI on the 11th anyway, so all is well!

I won't be there for Pass Preview Night, I'll be in Dayton watching Blast! in their new preforming arts center! I might get some gruff about this, but that will be more fun than the first day at KI. I will have numerous chances to be there since I am going to be working all summer. Odds are I will be working on Saturday anyway, and that will be much busier than Pass Preview Night.

Luckily for me, I will be at the park working on Face/Off. A special note for all you new ride associates; it would to your advantage to work on the 11th so you can get familar with park and ride operation. You will a lot of opportunities to enjoy the park with you family and friends on other days. Please remember we want to start the season out on a good note. Take advantage of getting the chance to work your ride and learn more about it.

Word I heard was in the past pass preview night was always very empty. Is it worth going this night or would it be better to go the next day and have the whole day? How crowded has it been in the past on pass preview night? Anyone...

Well... it isn't as bad as the opening day, that's for sure. But last year wasn't that bad. Tomb Raider: The Ride was busy because it was new. If you are goin just for the new rides, it will be kinda busy... but probably not as bad as the opening day. Anyone know more?

Up here in Dayton, they are giving tickets out for the 11th on local radio stations. They are giving out alot as well. If the weather cooperates, I suspect the 11th will be a very busy day for us. Sorry guys! biggrin.gif

It's never really that crowded especially since the people that win tickets don't want to go after work. Tomb Raider was very busy but it never opened. Also, PKI rents out two way radios.

That is not true, I know because on opening day I rode Tomb Raider TWICE! Its a fantastic day to go, there aren't a lot of people there and the lines are generally very short. I suggest it!
