I wear fishing pants to the park and much like cargo shorts keep everything in the velcro pocket.

I leave everything in my car besides my wallet. Yes even my keys. I just simply lock everything up in the car. When I return I simply punch the code in my car to unlock it and away I go.

Well I'm only 12, so i can only loose my cell phone or wallet and I always wear cargo pants. Thats the solution for everything!

i used to do that but they hurt my legs, so i went without one and almost lost them on Vortex{lucky save} after much deligation i opted for a lanyard. plus tight cargo pockets that zip/velcro help greatly also.

Oh I took my bag like that on Test Track and Everest when I went to Disney. It was completely fine. I just put my legs through the straps and put the bag between my legs on the ground.

THen what if you ride Drop Tower or an inverted coaster.

Thankfully I've never lost keys to Dimaondback (but, I don't drive yet so I don't carry any keys ).

Sorry about late response but I did get a ride home from the girlfriend's dad that night..They let me keep the car in the parking lot over night and I went to go pick it up the next day..Luckily I had a spare key at home.

I keep my keys on a carabiner (like Angie posted) and clipped to a belt loop at the back of my pants. The pressure between my body and the back of the seat holds them in place. I usually try to tuck the keys down into my back pocket (with a button on it) as well, just as extra security. I also keep my money, including loose change, in my buttoned back pocket, and haven't lost any on a ride when using this method, even on Firehawk, KI and KD's Crypt, or Demon Drop at CP, all of which are notorious change thieves.

And don't trust snapped or buttoned pockets without some pressure holding them shut. The snap came undone on the cargo pocket of my capris on Gemini and that's how I lost my BlackBerry. I don't keep things in buttoned pockets that aren't also held shut with pressure from the lapbar or the sides of the car anymore.

Keep checking back, there's a chance maintenance will find them. If you haven't already, make sure you left a good description of them with lost and found. They'll mail them to you if they're found.

This is another reason to have an identifying mark on your keys (such as a dab of nail polish) if you don't keep a keychain on them. Also handy when you and a friend have the same car, or like my husband and I, have two cars with identical-looking keys. I try to have some sort of small keychain on my keys so that if they were ever to be lost I could say "it's a Saturn key with a small Saturn of Germantown keychain." This works especially well if it's something out of the ordinary (SoG was the dealership I worked at in Tennessee - low chance of someone up here having the same keychain). My husband has a handcuff key. My brother uses a piece of a circuit board. He lost his keys in the mall parking lot one time. He left a description with lost and found and the unusual keychain was what led to their return.

I've been noticing alot of talk about caribiners on here, including about the one that the keys fell off of. In my opinion these are the best carabiners:

They lock and can be bought at home depot for a few dollars. I use it to attach my camera bag to my waist, as a safety precaution, in case the velcro strap on the bags lets loose

DT doesn't allow people in the ride area while the ride is in motion so there is really no risk for someone taking it. Same goes for Invertigo.

You are not alone... 'the same thing happened to me. I have been calling back ever since it happened a few days ago. I am not convinced they look real hard, either. Maybe when KI closes for the year, they will let me go back there myself and look around. What kind of car do you drive? I found a Honda key near the Crypt when I was looking.

I've had change, etc. fall out of my pockets on DB sometimes, and not others. There's a lot of physics going on, and it must depend on angle, speed, etc.

I look like a dork I'm sure, but I've adopted the fanny pack. I keep all of my stuff in there and it really helps...losing my keys was my main fear. I figure function and security is the key, and as a 32 year old married man, I really don't need to be 'looking cool' for the teenie bopper girls anyway

I lost my wallet last Saturday on a Diamondback night ride. I got if and I went to the restroom and I'm like uh oh my wallet is gone. So I walk back to the station and soon as I got there one of the ride-ops asked me if I had a wallet missing and I said yes and someone found my wallet in the seat I was in. That's the third I have left my wallet in a seat this year. I never learn to keep it out of my back pocket.

Plan ahead.zipper pockets,fanny packs or even a chain like they have on them biker wallets would work.

At Six Flags Great Adventure, they don't allow fanny packs.

Holiday World also does not allow fanny packs on coasters. However, they have free lockers in the station, so you don't have to worry about either renting a locker, or leaving important/expensive stuff in the bins.

I took my digital SLR camera into Holiday World on Saturday. That's the first time I've taken the nice camera in to a park except during the DB construction tour, because I knew it'd go in a locker.

I have a pair of cargo shorts with a zipper pocket on the side of the leg. I also use a ziplock bag to keep cell phone, wallet, keys, etc dry in case its an actual warm day and I decide to ride White Water Canyon, log flume, or Congo Falls. Also I put my glasses in said pocket this year(first year for glasses) even though most people took the chance and rode with them on. When I go on 9/12 I'll probably leave my glasses in the car.

I use a carabiner clip attatched to my belt loop for my cell phone case. It's worked so far!
