Honestly the one thing I would LOVE to see happen is a re-theming of 1/2 of Action Zone. IF sob gets taken down eventually I think a really nice expansion down that way would be awesome. Open up the area more so the q-line to Flight Deck is not a hike and maybe add a flat or 2 to that area. And of course my dream would always be to re-theme FD and maybe replace the trains with inverted trains (it has been done before).

Actual inverted (rigidly connected to the track, see Invertigo), or floorless suspended (like the ones wee have now, just floorless and from Vekoma)? The latter was done at Chessington World of Adventures on Vampire. Not sure if it has been done on anything else.

Yes that is what I was referring too, I apologize for the wrong terminology I tried to think for a minute before I submitted that post but I still got it wrong lol.

Theres a pic if anyone else is curious what it looks like.

I like the idea of a Ferris Wheel in Coney Mall, but I've never ridden a Screamin' Swing ride. What's it like? Is it like the "SWAT" rides they have at various parks in the US (SF New England has one)? I knew that they were going to do something with all that space on the other side of the walkway from Vortex. I think they should put that Swings ride at X Base and keep the Ferris Wheel in Coney Mall, then put up either an enterprise or Inverter Ship next to the Ferris Wheel (or even skip the ferris wheel and put in a double or triple wheel).

The S&S restraints are amazing on Screaming Swings, I also found them to be great on Powder keg. Like you said Terpy very minimalist and they offer so much freedom.

For 2010 the seasson after Diamondback and with the impending fate of SoB, I look for a new dinning experience and a show or two. Some general park improvements and not much else.

What he said. Any funds that could be used to build something new will go toward demolition of SOB.

We are getting a Ferris Wheel and Screamin' Swing in Coney Mall. Haven't you guys seen the concept art?

ANGIE LIKEY!

I've been saying for a long time that Kings Island needs a Ferris Wheel (Not in a box), but somehow I doubt we'll ever be getting one  Never been on a Sky Swing though, so I can't comment on whether or not I'd like one of them.

Losing Nick U will be very disappointing for me. My kid really loves the area, watches Nick at home, and can identify with all the characters.

She has no idea about Snoopy, or Peanuts. I think it will be a big "downer" for the park. I know though, that it's all about the money. Mr Kinzel hasn't collected enough of our nickels to justify spending any of his own, to keep the licensing.

/End Thread. :(

It looks as though the cedarfairization and deparamountization process at Canada's Wonderland will complete after next year. Now i can really see the Peanuts coming to KI. I wonder if CF went ahead and extended it to all the other former paramount parks?

I may not know much about international copyright laws, but just because a company can get a license to use something in one country does not mean it has the same rights in another country. Terpy I'm sure would know more about this. :)

Cedar Fair will have to secure a license to use the characters in each park, regardless of which country they're in. That said, I would anticipate that having 5 parks you're looking to obtain a license agreement for would be a good bargaining tool on the side of Cedar Fair.
