Diamondback FOF Posted September 3, 2009 Posted September 3, 2009 That would be pretty cool if there was a site like that. But, of course, that would change a lot in how parks operate, in my opinion. Quote
The Interpreter Posted September 3, 2009 Posted September 3, 2009 check out this video about Sally http://www.blip.tv/file/247245 WOW!!! cool Indeed it is. Thanks for posting that! I'd not seen it before... Quote
CrashOverRided Posted September 3, 2009 Posted September 3, 2009 yea their work can get detailed. Quote
Coney Islander Posted September 3, 2009 Posted September 3, 2009 I have always thought it would be cool if Kings Island got a ride themed to Goosebumps books. Anyone else have any thought on this? Quote
Scooby_Doo Posted September 15, 2009 Posted September 15, 2009 You know I remember when those books got really hot but I honestly never cared for them.I'm upset over the loss of Scooby-Doo he's been at KI since well forever and going and riding SDATHC made me happy it really did as a ''scooby-doo fan'' and seeing my ''kids'' hug scooby made me even more joyful.I hope they theme the new dark ride around snoopy sally can do just about anything they did a flintstones themed dark ride for an overseas park and it was really cool...I think it was a Warner Brothers Movie World. -Now thanks to Cedar Fair I have to visit Six Flags/Universal Studios more often so the kids and I can get our scooby-doo fix. RingMaster Posted September 15, 2009 Posted September 15, 2009 Can we at least assume they won't try and go the Freestyle Music Park route and shell out a MonSTARS of Rock attraction: Granted, they have more than four weeks to "retheme" it, but still.... -shudder- Quote
McSalsa Posted September 15, 2009 Posted September 15, 2009 I have always thought it would be cool if Kings Island got a ride themed to Goosebumps books. Anyone else have any thought on this? That would be ironic as R.L. Stine, writer of the goosebumps books, wrote a book about a certain wooden roller coaster in the woods...do I even need to state its name? So, in a way, we already have one. PS: Terpy's gonna be mad because I just did something he would do... Quote

Didn't the Sea World parks have and RL Stein Haunted Lighthouse film in their 4D theaters for a time? I know that I saw it at SWSD a few years back. Quote
Guest TombraiderTy Posted September 16, 2009 Posted September 16, 2009 ^^There was also an R.L. Stine haunted house during FearFest 2005 I think. Quote
Scooby_Doo Posted September 16, 2009 Posted September 16, 2009 Does anyone know if Cedar Fair will be removing rides from Nick U? I heard they were going to remove some rides ... I sure hope not! I mean we are already losing scooby(*Tears*!) what other painful blow what else could Cedar Fair do to OK us as fans of the park? Quote
CincyMan98 Posted September 16, 2009 Posted September 16, 2009 Doesn't RL Stine live in Ohio? If he does, there could be special interviews and appearances by him! I dont know, just an idea. I honestly don't really like the idea of a ride based off of a book! I mean, it's a very popular series, but it seems weird to me..... Quote

faeriewench Posted September 16, 2009 Posted September 16, 2009 ^^There was also an R.L. Stine haunted house during FearFest 2005 I think. 2005 and 2006 Then it became Massacre Manor. Quote
Diamondback FOF Posted September 17, 2009 Posted September 17, 2009 Doesn't RL Stine live in Ohio? If he does, there could be special interviews and appearances by him!... He was born in Columbus, Ohio. He currently lives in New York City with his wife Jane and his dog, King Charles Spaniel. http://www.rlstine.com/#nav/rlstine Quote

None of the current ride selections will be removed in this conversion. Quote

CedarPointer Posted September 17, 2009 Posted September 17, 2009 None of the current ride selections will be removed in this conversion. Including SDatHC? Quote
The Interpreter Posted September 17, 2009 Posted September 17, 2009 He no current ride selection would be removed. He didn't say that no attraction would be converted. . . Quote
CedarPointer Posted September 17, 2009 Posted September 17, 2009 I know. I was wondering because of the whole "SDatHC is on International Street" thing, and CF's tendency to heartlessly tear the soul out of dark rides in parks they purchase. Quote
The Interpreter Posted September 17, 2009 Posted September 17, 2009 IF SDATHC is converted, remember that FUN may have gotten a better deal from United Features Syndicate by giving Snoopy exclusive doggy-dom in the park. Quote
CedarPointer Posted September 17, 2009 Posted September 17, 2009 I'm betting on a quick'n'cheap Snoopy conversion or a simple GhostBlasters conversion. Quote
Beast1979 Posted September 17, 2009 Posted September 17, 2009 If they don't remove the ride altogeher..... Quote
BoddaH1994 Posted September 17, 2009 Posted September 17, 2009 If they don't remove the ride altogeher..... They're not removing the ride all together... Quote

CedarPointer Posted September 17, 2009 Posted September 17, 2009 Yes, but techincally, SDatHC is not part of NU. Therefore, even if it were leaving, you could still say that no NU rides were leaving. Which is why I asked. Quote

Ah, good ol' Fear Street Nights. *facepalm* That went from my favorite house of 2004 to my least favorite of 2005 (Headless Hollow a close second). EDIT: I take that back. Sleepy Hollow Horror was my favorite house of 2004. House of Darkness was 2nd. My bad. Quote
Browntggrr Posted September 18, 2009 Posted September 18, 2009 I know. I was wondering because of the whole "SDatHC is on International Street" thing, and CF's tendency to heartlessly tear the soul out of dark rides in parks they purchase. Which dark rides has CF taken out? Quote
The Interpreter Posted September 18, 2009 Posted September 18, 2009 We could start with the obvious Pirate at Cedar Point, then go on to talk about the many dark rides at Dorney Park...oh, wait... Quote
Browntggrr Posted September 18, 2009 Posted September 18, 2009 ^ The Pirate Ride removal was not due to a CF park purchase. And I certainly would not consider these Dorney removals "heartless", but perhaps "cost effective": I can see why some may be upset with the removal of Cuddle-up/ Iceberg/ Meteorite, but that building only had emergency exit doors on a building that was around since 1945. Old Mill/ Journey to the Center of the Earth that was removed in 2001 was in a 74 year old building, unfortunately, nothing lasts forever. Quote
CedarPointer Posted September 18, 2009 Posted September 18, 2009 Knott's, don't forget Knott's. Quote
