HTCO Posted September 7, 2009 Posted September 7, 2009 I called the park today about some questions on getting a re-newal season pass. They told me to beware next year, my pass WILL NOT get me into Halloween Haunt next season. I'm a little mad and a little like.."Again??". Haven't they learned their lesson this is a terrible thing to do? People are going to be mad. How about you? Discuss. Quote
CincyMan98 Posted September 7, 2009 Posted September 7, 2009 Wait - what? I thought Halloween Haunt was included, and that would be official! Quote
HTCO Posted September 7, 2009 Author Posted September 7, 2009 This season it will be. I was told next season it won't be. Quote
Aaron88stang Posted September 7, 2009 Posted September 7, 2009 The way I understood it was that 2010 Haunt was free with Gold and Platinum but not Blue. Is this correct? Quote
HTCO Posted September 7, 2009 Author Posted September 7, 2009 You could be. The way they explained it to me was, Halloween Haunt will be separate admission and will not be valid with ANY season pass/platinum pass. Quote
Hoeter Posted September 7, 2009 Posted September 7, 2009 Well, I've heard similar stories from people who call the park but Ryan confirmed from the park that it is included. Also, check this out. This pretty much confirms it. Sounds like Kings Island needs to bring this to the attention of their telephone representatives. Quote

TY Andrew!!!!! i am sure that all the info get a bit confusing at times. Quote
Skywriter Posted September 7, 2009 Posted September 7, 2009 Is Halloween Haunt included with a 2010 Season Pass? Halloween Haunt will be included with a Gold and Platinum pass for the 2010 season. Regular Season Passholders will be required to pay a nominal fee for Halloween Haunt. http://www.visitkingsisland.com/special/pa.../10pass_faq.cfm Quote
CedarPointer Posted September 7, 2009 Posted September 7, 2009 Knowing KI's website, that information could easily be incorrect... Quote
PKIVortex Posted September 7, 2009 Posted September 7, 2009 KI has no communication what so ever. I found this out yesterday. Quote
Guest KINGSISLANDMASTER Posted September 7, 2009 Posted September 7, 2009 WHAT.........FOR THE LOVE OF GOD PLEASE DON'T START TALKING ABOUT Halloween Haunt 2010 , 2009 HASN'T EVEN STARTED YET!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Quote
CedarPointer Posted September 7, 2009 Posted September 7, 2009 But they're selling the season passes now without being clear on what they include... Quote
The Interpreter Posted September 7, 2009 Posted September 7, 2009 The poster in Season Pass Processing is not particularly helpful either: Some Halloween Events At Some Cedar Fair Parks May Not Be Included ...or words of similar import. Quote
CincyMan98 Posted September 7, 2009 Posted September 7, 2009 I just don't understand how the OFFICIAL Kings Island website could possibly be wrong. Quote
The Interpreter Posted September 7, 2009 Posted September 7, 2009 For it to be accurate, they'd have to consider it to be important. If they considered the website to be important, it wouldn't STILL be awaiting an update to Cedar Fair style with much more complete information more than three full years after the company acquired Kings Island. Sigh Quote
Captain Picard Posted September 8, 2009 Posted September 8, 2009 I have found it to be better when you have to pay to get into things like Haunt. There are some that charge don't charge enough. If you have been to Phantom Fright Nights you understand what not charging enough is all about. Quote
flightoffear1996 Posted September 8, 2009 Posted September 8, 2009 I dont mind it being free specially in there hard times somethign ought to be free. Quote
rotag Posted September 8, 2009 Posted September 8, 2009 ZOMFG!!! Why is this even being discussed now. The 2009 season hasn't even started yet, let alone the brand new haunted attraction. Can't we at least wait till haunt is 3/4th's over?! Quote
The Interpreter Posted September 8, 2009 Posted September 8, 2009 Because season passes are currently on sale and people have the silly idea they'd like to know what they are paying for? Imagine that. Quote
BoddaH1994 Posted September 8, 2009 Posted September 8, 2009 I think there was some kind of miscommunication in there. As stated on both Kings Island's official site and in the Kings Island newsletter, Halloween Haunt will be included with 2010 Gold and Platinum season passes but will NOT be included with 2010 regular passes. All the more reason to purchase your 2010 pass early and get the FREE Gold Pass upgrade. Quote
HTCO Posted September 8, 2009 Author Posted September 8, 2009 Thanks for clearing things up BoddaH1994. Like always! hahah. Quote
PhantomTheater Posted September 8, 2009 Posted September 8, 2009 The question is, will this policy remain or will it get changed? CF is very good at changing there mind on things. Quote
HTCO Posted September 8, 2009 Author Posted September 8, 2009 The question is, will this policy remain or will it get changed? CF is very good at changing there mind on things. Last season I checked the fine print and on the back it said in all caps, "NOT VALID FOR FEAR FEST". I went in to guest relations to complain because I was worried they were going to charge HH as a separate admission, and they told me originally they were going to but they decided not to later on. In my opinion, seperate admission for the Haunt will leave a lot of people unhappy if it were to happen. Glad its not. Quote
CedarPointer Posted September 8, 2009 Posted September 8, 2009 Does anyone have next year's pass yet? Does it say "NOT VALID FOR Kings Island FEARFEST" like the 2009 one? Quote
