CedarPointer
Cedar Fair may like red, but they also like saving nickels. If they are going to repaint anything, it should be Flight Deck. Edited November 12, 2009 by CedarPointer
tycoonrebel7188
I wonder what/if color Runaway Reptar will be in 2010. Hopefully no ugly neon pink and green colors . Are you talking about Reptar or Odd Coaster?? Personally I'd like to see Reptar painted a nice bright royal blue.
TOPGUN1993
Cedar Fair may like red, but they also like saving nickels. If they are going to repaint anything, it should be Flight Deck or FoF. Have you seen how faded Reptar really is?........... and FOF.....
CedarPointer
Yes, but Invertigo, Flight Deck, BLSC (which has obvious rust), and others also need paint badly, but have not gotten it so far. The Interpreter
It is normal for track to rust. In fact, for many years, B & M, in particular, did NOT recommend that rails be painted.
tycoonrebel7188
All the FoF track needs at this point is a hose. It's pretty dusty, but I think the paint is probably is pretty good shape.
Coney Islander
Rust and a lot of dust... I guess the building prevents the dust from blowing away? Edit- Well said, TopGun.
TOPGUN1993
Who cares if theres dust on the track? You can't see it while riding............... sigh I'm sure the public will surely notice the fresh look for the new painted fof.....

bkroz
As it is, I'd probably put Flight of Fear's repaint second to last (second to Diamondback) on the priority list. It could use dusting, that's for sure, but I think even the crews hired to paint it would find something incredibly ironic and ridiculous about the process. If Cedar Fair decides to allot us paint money, put it where it's needed: Flight Deck, Backlot, etc. If there's money left in the paint budget, Invertigo could be returned to its original vibrancy, and it would always be nice to see The Racer flaunting it's red white and blue. Browntggrr
During "It's a Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown" I told my kids (again) that Charlie Brown & Snoopy were going to be at KI next year. They both gave me an "ok" answer and shrugged their shoulders. I then mentioned that SpongeBob and the rest of the Nick characters will be leaving; they gave me the same "ok". My oldest daughter then went to get a tape measure to see how tall she was. She wants to get on Beast this summer. So I can easily say, my kids really don't care about how the kid’s portion of KI is themed. Cedar Fair may like red, but they also like saving nickels. What company does not like to save money wherever they can? Speaking from the experience of being a business owner, finding ways to spend less is an everyday job. If something does not have to be done, it usually is not. That is why every business has a yearly budget for improvements. Everything gets ranked from most important to least important. And under most circumstances, the common guest will never see where the most money is spent.
CincyMan98
Here's my opinion about Planet Snoopy (signature below)
The Interpreter
What's the Point? It's this park on Lake Erie. It's in a town called Sandusky. If your sister has not heard of it, does it still exist? Terpy, just sayin'
CincyMan98
Smarty pants. Haha, that made me laugh though. How about this? "My sister does not know anything about Snoopy. So why should there be a Planet Snoopy?" Bet you can't say anything about that
The Interpreter
As Calvin Coolidge famously said: You lose.* (Old Calvin Coolidge was famously known for saying little and being shy. A woman once walked up to him and boasted that she had bet a friend she could make him say three words. He looked at her and said, simply, "You lose.") So: Anything about that. Terpy, who said anything about that.
standbyme
If your sister has not heard of it, does it still exist? But, on the plus side, she HAS heard of Santa Claus...so that must mean that yes Terpy he does exist!

BoddaH1994
If any of you were around for the 2006 Nickelodeon Universe revamp, you may recall that no construction was done until after the first of the year -- and that was a pretty major overhaul. I'd imagine this will be similar situation.

bkroz
Notably, Carowinds will feature Snoopy Rocks! On Ice for 2010. Could we see a similar treatment for the Kings Island Theater ice show? Additionally, it appears Marty's Party is staying at Carowinds and not being replaced with any Peanuts themed show.
Kyle-By-Request
I think I will like the Snoopy theme better, however, I wish it were Camp Snoopy instead of Planet Snoopy. I hope Planet Snoopy isn't too futuristic. I think a campground themed area would be a lot cooler.
Coney Islander
Not to mention all of the trees that are already in the area...
standbyme
OH BABY!!! Today I feel redeemed! I went to my town’s annual Christmas event called “Festival Of Trees”…it is where different people put together themed trees and display them. (It really isn’t very exciting…but we took my Aunt.) Anyway, there was a tree themed all with Peanuts characters…as we were standing there looking at it a class of Grade School kids arrived with their teacher…she sweetly said “Oh look…it’s The Peanuts…how many of you know who The Peanuts are?” (I couldn’t believe my luck…it was as if she was reading my mind!) NOT ONE of those 20-25 kids either raised their hands or claimed that they knew them. I felt like pumping my fist in the air and screaming YEAH! NOT ONE of those 20-25 kids either raised their hands or claimed that they knew them. I felt like pumping my fist in the air and screaming YEAH! Yeah, the same thing happens with many kids. I ask my daughter's friends what their favorite Nick character is, and they give me a blank stare. I then ask what their favorite Spongebob character is and they all have an answer. I'm sure if the teacher asked if the kids knew Snoopy, they would have all responded with a "yes". But aside from that, Peanuts are obviously popular. A whole themed tree? That speaks volumes. standbyme
Peanuts are obviously popular. A whole themed tree? That speaks volumes. But do keep in mind that they also had two "Elvis" trees, and one with nothing but photo ornaments of local physicians who have passed away! CincyMan98
When do you think the names are going to be announced? It's been awhile compared to when Carowinds announced them.
Diamondback FOF
Probably sometime between now and Opening Day 2010. But, they may not announce names and we might just find out when we visit the park for the first time. I honestly have no idea.
