As it is, I'd probably put Flight of Fear's repaint second to last (second to Diamondback) on the priority list. It could use dusting, that's for sure, but I think even the crews hired to paint it would find something incredibly ironic and ridiculous about the process. If Cedar Fair decides to allot us paint money, put it where it's needed: Flight Deck, Backlot, etc. If there's money left in the paint budget, Invertigo could be returned to its original vibrancy, and it would always be nice to see The Racer flaunting it's red white and blue.

During "It's a Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown" I told my kids (again) that Charlie Brown & Snoopy were going to be at KI next year. They both gave me an "ok" answer and shrugged their shoulders.

I then mentioned that SpongeBob and the rest of the Nick characters will be leaving; they gave me the same "ok". My oldest daughter then went to get a tape measure to see how tall she was. She wants to get on Beast this summer.

So I can easily say, my kids really don't care about how the kid’s portion of KI is themed.

Cedar Fair may like red, but they also like saving nickels.

What company does not like to save money wherever they can?

Speaking from the experience of being a business owner, finding ways to spend less is an everyday job. If something does not have to be done, it usually is not.

That is why every business has a yearly budget for improvements. Everything gets ranked from most important to least important. And under most circumstances, the common guest will never see where the most money is spent.

As Calvin Coolidge famously said:

You lose.*

(Old Calvin Coolidge was famously known for saying little and being shy. A woman once walked up to him and boasted that she had bet a friend she could make him say three words. He looked at her and said, simply, "You lose.")

So:

Anything about that.

Terpy, who said anything about that.

OH BABY!!! Today I feel redeemed! I went to my town’s annual Christmas event called “Festival Of Trees”…it is where different people put together themed trees and display them. (It really isn’t very exciting…but we took my Aunt.) Anyway, there was a tree themed all with Peanuts characters…as we were standing there looking at it a class of Grade School kids arrived with their teacher…she sweetly said “Oh look…it’s The Peanuts…how many of you know who The Peanuts are?” (I couldn’t believe my luck…it was as if she was reading my mind!) NOT ONE of those 20-25 kids either raised their hands or claimed that they knew them. I felt like pumping my fist in the air and screaming YEAH!

Additionally, it appears Marty's Party is staying at Carowinds and not being replaced with any Peanuts themed show.

I think I will like the Snoopy theme better, however, I wish it were Camp Snoopy instead of Planet Snoopy. I hope Planet Snoopy isn't too futuristic. I think a campground themed area would be a lot cooler.

I agree- Camp Snoopy at CP is really charming, especially the canoe fountain.

Yeah, the same thing happens with many kids. I ask my daughter's friends what their favorite Nick character is, and they give me a blank stare. I then ask what their favorite Spongebob character is and they all have an answer.

I'm sure if the teacher asked if the kids knew Snoopy, they would have all responded with a "yes".

But aside from that, Peanuts are obviously popular. A whole themed tree? That speaks volumes.
