BoddaH1994
Kings Island's Eiffel Tower, fireworks, and patriotic music set against a backdrop of the park create an Independance Day celebration unlike any other in the Tri-State.This year's Fourth of July fireworks extravaganza will be TWO TIMES LARGER than last year, with some displays soaring to heights of more than 800 feet! You don't want to miss this one-of-a-kind pyrotechnic display presented by MARATHON. http://www.visitkingsisland.com/public/visit/events/index.cfm?id=
Oldiesmann
Great to hear! If I'm not working that night I'll definitely try to make it up there. Two fireworks shows at two different parks in one weekend should be fun (I'm planning to hit Balloon Glow on the 3rd)
CoastersRZ
I can guarantee that I will be at Coney on July 3rd. However, I will likely be working. (On the flip side, I was on the clock last year and was able to view the finale of the fireworks before pan and brooming the park for thirty minutes. Be prepared for large crowds as the evening gets closer to 10pm, as July 3rd is Coney`s busiest day of the season! But it is a great time! If I`m not also working the 4th at Coney, I may try and swing by KI on the 4th.
RingMaster
Hopefully the smoke doesn't block the fireworks from view like it did last year. And even still, KI's 4th of July fireworks display has been very lackluster in recent years, almost like a regular nightly show but extended an extra ten minutes. I still think 2005 was the best one they've done with three separate launch areas.
pkiboy
Well no fireworks for Me this 4th of July. But I will be at a CF park just not Seeing any Red White and Blue.
Beast1979
I'll be on Vacation during the 4th of July. As much as I love KI, really nothing compares to watching a fireworks display on the beach, with waves lapping at your feet. Someone videotape the display so that those of us unable to attend can see it!

I remember back in 2003, standing under the Eiffel Tower with my parents and watching people install rows of mortars on the sides of the tower. (EDIT) I also remeber the area around the base of the tower being closed off later that night. We never got to see the show though, because it began storming around 9:30 and the park closed. (That was july 3rd). I can't beleive i still remember all of that.
The Interpreter
Nights of Fire... By far one of the very best things Paramount Parks did...
BoddaH1994
Oh yes... Nights of Fire... I recall smoke bombs and flairs coming off of the 50' and 264' observation decks of the Eiffel Tower and a fireworks display that had booms that would literally make you jump. I'd pay to see that again...
The Interpreter
And you wouldn't have...it was included with park admission...not unlike, say, Pepsi at Holiday World. Free? No. Priceless? That's up to the viewer to decide...

I didn't get a chance to see the '03 or '04 displays because I was out of town on both those nights (Michigan in '03, Gatlinburg in '04), but I remember people talking about the Eiffel Tower fireworks. Man, if they had during the '05 display as well......
CincyMan98
I never go to the park to watch the fireworks, because I know it will be crowded. Good thing my grandparents live 1 mile behind The Beast, in a neighborhood called Miami Bluffs. Last year I got a lawn chair and sat outside. The fireworks peek over the trees. I can see every one of them.

KI-ORIG-EMP
I lived in Kings Mills all my life and when I did not work at the park, we would bring our chairs to the ball field at Kings High School and watch it from there. You would have to get there early as it gets crowded. Yes, I worked there in 2005 and it was one of the best fire works ever!
Colonel_SoB_fan
I wonder if KI will have Rozzi do this show, or if it will be done in house, like the nightly show. Edit: I bet in house after seeing it is being presented by Cincinnati.com and the article on the website does NOT mention Rozzi.
