jdawg1998
after just waking up from a long night- I can say, now THAT was a storm! (at least where I was)- question, do you suspect that WS has been baptized into being stuck by lightning yet? There's another storm right now. I am really afraid for WindSeeker! skaterboy22101
How do we know that the queue is not already done? Maybe it's just out of view.

TheSnapper
They should shoot fireworks off the top of the WS tower
XGatorHead 8904
All of you Kings Island "locals" make me sick! Walking distance and free fireworks are perks you just can't get in a platinum pass! Ahhhhhhh. Waking up to see The Beast every morning. Doesn't get better than that. I think I might need to upgrade. All I get at my house is to hear the "booms" of the fireworks at the park. Jasper
Looks like they are getting the blue rails put up that go around the ride platform, queue lines next perhaps?
McSalsa
The view from the parking lot now: WindSeeker is quite noticeable, but...not exactly dominating the skyline though. Probably because it is all the way in the back... PS: NOT MY PICTURE. Got it from a link I found on Screamscape.
Oldschool75
Well it's still standing, job site looks a little messy right now.
KIanatic1975
Wouldn't surprise me, it was windy last night.

CoastersRZ
I spy some swing arms for Winseeker now in position, minus the seats though.
frisbeefan
Some seats are visible now. Shouldn't be too much longer before they are attached, hopefully.
CoastersRZ
Well, they were visible. I wonder if they installed them on the opposite side of the tower.
bkroz
It looks much, much larger than I imagined. Even the physical gondola is intimidatingly large! This is definitely going to be more of a thrill ride than most of us gave it credit for... Look at the diameter of the arms as is, much less once they're all raised and swinging outward. Mexican Eric Bischoff
Anyone else think of Roller Coaster Tycoon in terms of how they placed it? I have a feeling it's going to get very crowded as you walk back towards the Action Theatre. Assuming anyone walks back there to celebrate eight years of Spongebob's Sometimes 3D experience. McSalsa
AT LAST! SEATS ON WindSeeker!!! Well, if they can get them all on by today, they can start testing and should have the ride up either on on soon after opening day. I hope it's ready by May 14th...(Day I am visiting KI this year)... Hendrick
I'm sure they'll have it opened by opening day. I can see testing non stop the next few days though... I'm going the 2nd weekend, and I have no doubt it'll be running then.
KIanatic1975
It should be all ready to go by April 30th.
Sonor_Drummer
Yeah I'd say by next week, maybe sooner.
frisbeefan
It's been a nice weather day for them so far and it's good to see so much activity. The weather is supposed to turn ugly, which will slow their progress, more than likely.
MrSaturdayNite
Correct me if I'm wrong, but looking at the webcam a minute ago, I think I see some queue line switchbacks in place between Racer and the blue fence.
frisbeefan
I see those too. It' starting to take shape nicely.

silver2005
With the swing angle set at 45 degrees, are there hydraulics on the arms to control that or is it pure centrifugal force? I ask because any swinging angle too much above 0 will come awfully close to the queue and railings. If not, I imagine it won't start spinning until its risen a bit and then stop spinning before that point upon descending.
TheSnapper
Time is getting thin!!! LOL... I can't wait to see a POV of this ride!
CoastersRZ
I believe that the arms will actually just freely rotate. In other words, it is the spin of the actual ride carriage that makes the swings swing out to the side at an angle. As such, and not unlike how the Zephyr runs, the ride will rotate slower when it is close to the ground and the loading area, and then speed up to its ultimate rotational speed once closer to the apex of the tower.
