KIanatic1975
I have a lot of items like that, but not that much.
KIBOB
I had seen that this morning, but I was unsure whether to post it or not; glad someone did. Overall, I guess that this is kind of a fun little joke directed towards us. Even though a lot of us might not even see it as a joke. KIBOB, who wishes that he had an action theater seat synched to Beast! EDIT: I did not watch the video that closely, it is actually just a plain old regular chair, that I thought was an action theater seat at first. Still though, one can dream..... Beast1979
"You know my wife says, if I keep talking about Kings Island, I'm gonna turn into one of them enthusiasts." *Points at Fanny pack* Priceless!

XGatorHead 8904
My fanny pack days are long over... they were actually kind of cool to wear when I was in junior high/high school. Okay, maybe not. Mrs. Gator wears one quite a bit though just because it's more convenient than a purse. Instead, I put iron-on velcro strips onto the inside edges of the pockets of two pairs of my favorite shorts! Those are now my park shorts... it's a lot less obvious than the fanny pack bulge! rotag
i added custom sewn pockets that zipper shut on my shorts.

CedarPointer
Oh, please tell me this guy isn't real. I have a bit of a KI wall in my room, but that's mostly stuff from last summer...
Coney Islander
Judging this man's usage of the word 'the' before Diamondback, I'd guess he's not a coaster enthusiast. Perhaps someone in Kings Island management?
Fear the Four
I had a feeling someone would point that out! lol

Avatar
One of the greatest gifts one can receive in life is "Passion". For many including myself we can find ourselves deeply involved or even obsessed in a hobby or activity. For me I have had a few great passions in life such as getting involved with Junior Achievement (as a student and advisor) owning and sailing boats, volunteering to a local hockey league and at present improving my ponds and stream in the yard and also visiting thrill/theme parks with family and friends. Most others in this world find passion in a myriad of activities including marching bands, religion, water sports, flying/space, weather, collecting, photography, volunteering and some find passion in working. When I see others pointing at someone and laughing at their passion/obsession I feel sorry for them as I wonder if they have ever experienced something so great to in life, because if so they would not be laughing at the person but laughing with them. Which brings up another great experience in life to be learned and that is being able to laugh at ourselves. Sometimes when we look back at our life we see something in our past that we can laugh at and ask ourselves "what was I doing/thinking". Well the answer most times was you were enjoying passion for life at the moment. So I feel sorry for those who have never experienced something in life that they were passionate about because they fear they will be laughed at and may have missed a hunger in their life and a great opportunity to look back on their life and laugh at themselves. So I say to the Kings Island Enthusiast Dude "Ride on fan boy ride on" and if I ever see you in the single rider line I am going to ask to sit with you so that I can experience some of that overflowing passion you have for Kings Island. I will tell you that if you ever see anyone pointing fingers at you laughing just remember they have 3 fingers pointing back at them calling them stuffy, boring and too serious. Just to add another thought here and this is only a conversation opinion of mine at this moment; it seems as the video was made by Kings Island and in truth I feel it could be taken the wrong way by some enthusiast. (again this is only my speculation opinion) This video may have been leaked out the way it was to see how the enthusiast community would react to it before it would be released to a broader audience. I wish that towards the end of the video when it starts to scroll Kings Island opening day and general information that it asks the viewer right before that "How Passionate Are You" or "Come See What All The Enthusiasm Is About". PKIVortex
He couldn't even say, The Tallest, Fastest, Meanest roller coaster right. And he said The Beast was the longest roller coaster in the world. LMAO.

Very well said Avatar!!! My wife and I believe we have found our tribe impatiently waiting outside the front gates for the hour of ERT on Saturday mornings. We don't know our fellow coaster geeks names, but the shared "Passion" we have to go up, then go down, makes us all part of a special tribe. If others who don't share our passion find joy in laughing at us... so be it. Just don't block the Gold Pass entrance with your strollers arguing with security about why your day passes won't get you in early!
IndyGuy4KI
Did anyone spot KI Enthusiast dude on Saturday? I didn't, but heck there were a lot of KIC'ers that were at the park that I never saw. Even some I saw before the park opened, I never saw again after entering the park.
