As for the gift shop, what if they are trying to stay with a theme? Think about it this way: An actual building would not give the illusion of trying to track down dinosaurs, but a tent gives the illusion of a "base camp" of sorts: One that can pack up and be transported to the next spot as the animals naturally migrate.

This whole DA thing is starting to remind of Jurassic Park at IOA ...on very smaller scale..It's gonna be pretty cool. I doubt I will do it..because it seems like everything is a ''pay-as-you-play attraction'' in KI anymore. I go for the coasters and sometimes I stay with kids and let them have their fun. Still good coverage here on KIC.

Dinosaurs Alive is in fact well worth the $5 charge. And yes, that dinosaur was not present in the attraction today. But the T-Rex is still huge!

Respectfully I disagree. Dinosaur (originally Countdown to Extinction) at Disney's Animal Kingdom has maintained a popularity much higher than that of the Jurassic Park River Adventure since it's opening in 1998.

And Jurrasic Park The RIde didn`t open until Islands of Adventure opened, which occurred in 1999! So we are only talking a variance of a few years...

The Dinosaurs Alive path actually follows the old ToT path for a little bit (where the out house scene was).

According to KI's website, that dinosaur is, in fact, there and is presently being billed as "the highlight" of the attraction.

A slightly more low-budget sibling, I'd say.. I wish it was a clone! I suppose Orlando more than made up for its shortcomings with their version of The Revenge of the Mummy...

This may seem like a stupid question but if Dinosaurs Alive is in fact here for more than this season does anyone want to venture a guess whether or not these things are winter safe? will they be removed or covered somehow? Or are they made to withstand the elements of an Ohio winter?
