Featured Replies

When I was in the park one day, I was lucky to see them rehearsing for Way Too Much TV.

here is the video, and Kirk, from fansofkientertainment, could you post it on your site?

Thanks

Did you record that this past Sunday afternoon? If so I was there watching it :)

Yes! Yes! I did! Did you see a kid on the far right next to the tech area?

I honestly don't get peoples fascination with KI's entertainment. It's always been mediocre at best.

We just happened to be there eating Pizza and enjoying the AC is all. I stayed to watch for one thing, though the wife wasn't amused ;)

Do not assume the shoe spoken of fitteth thy foot.

At least a couple of the posters above know each other well and enjoy jousting.

The best form of entertainment at KI is sitting on a bench and people watching.

That is very true but this rehearsal had a couple nice things to watch.

Thank you CoasterGeeek101 for sharing something that YOU enjoyed so much about the park that you wanted to share with the rest of us here. I enjoyed watching your video and encourage you to continue sharing what you enjoy when visiting Kings Island. I think that even the most cynical critic would have to admit the entertainment under Cedar Fair is far superior than it was during the last several years when Kings Island was under the Paramount heading. I for one and I speak for my family as well enjoy the entertainment at Kings Island very much and glad we have shows now to watch to break up or park touring days.

No, I don't think filming or photographing rehearsals is fair to the performers in any way.

I think this is very weird coming from a company that their main business was TV and film. I am sure they had hundreds of people employed by them in CA that could have came to the parks to create some great top notch live entertainment shows that could have competed well with other parks known for their live entertainment. Now you have CF who probably did not have the resources Paramount had at the time come in and turn the shows from a late night cable show to a prime time show.

Thanks guys and I did think about that Kirk, they even messed up a little after this was filmed and I didn't want to upload that, so Thanks for pointing that out!

CoasterGeek101 just remember that is Kirks opinion and others may not share that opinion. If Kings Island or the performers insisted they were not to be filmed or photographed during a rehearsal then one of two things should have happen. 1) have all stage rehearsals after hours or closed to the public or 2) make an announcement that video and photographing the rehearsal is prohibited.

Basically you did nothing wrong and maybe someday when the performers make it big they will appreciate a old video of something like that. Now Kirk may not want those type of videos or photographs on his site and that is what he is comfortable with and the image he wants to project on his site, well that is great too. :)

I saw Way Too Much TV tonight when I ducked into Festhaus around 6pm to dodge the upcoming storms and really enjoyed it. I didn't pay much attention to it last year, but I will probably go back and see it again more this season.
