Worth noting in the Monster photo are The Racer trains, which featured four cars per train when the ride originally opened in 1972. Due to the ride's popularity, a fifth car was added in 1973 to incr

  • Wow, that Flight of Fear picture brings back a lot of memories. It was a very warm and sunny June Monday. I just graduated from Princeton HS and was working in an office in St. Bernard. They didn't

While I have always preferred Mantis, I must admit that King Cobra will always have a special place in my heart. I remember riding it for the first time in 1987 with my friend Doreen and being absolutely terrified and closing my eyes. It took a few years for me to adapt to it.

The first time I rode King Cobra was also the last yea it was open. i only rode it once. I really wish I would have rode it more than that. It was my first stand up coaster.

I got the chance to ride the Cobra while it was still at KI. Do not really remember it however, I was younger and do not really recall the ride experience.

I would guess that he Olympic logo was displayed because the ride was supposed to be like a bobsled ride.

Bayern Kurve is the ride I most associate with going to KI with my parents as a kid - great memories!

The Olympic rings did tie into the bobsled theme as each "car" was a sled from a different country - as a kid, I was always trying to t into one of the good winter Olympic country sleds (not USA like most people).

Paul, just so you know...I haven't had a specific (worthwhile) comment to make about your latest 2 photos...but I AM enjoying them. :)

Really enjoying the photos as well. Thank You

does anyone know when Kings Island will be open just wondering

I'm guessing sometime between April and October.

^Very nice picture...whether it is or not, it reminds me of how it looked back in the 70's. :)

Now that is an awesome picture. You kinda forget what it looks like with all the business going on around it.

Nice to see construction pictures, they always seem to intrigue me the most. Very nice photo.

I haven't posted for a couple days, but I've been watching! This photo definitely my favorite so far, nice pick of Tomb Raiders entrance.

^Unless he simply dictated the letter...I give him credit for being able to type with those claws.

Can one of the old guys around here explain the story behind that to us young'uns?

I assume the media event for that day was quite rainy cruddy. So I assume that this is a Hey come back to kI on us since that one day was really bad....

(of course...I could be really wrong...)

Also, the picture is amazing! Very Very VERY! Cool!
