March 31, 201214 yr A season pass for the price of a day of fun. Given what that park and its fans have been through, and the competitive market (what with SCBB having a new coaster soon), that makes sense. All that screaming may grate on Moms and Dads if that ad runs often, though.
April 1, 201214 yr a very entertaining ad, but if it runs more than 2 times per day that may make people turn the tv to another station...
April 1, 201214 yr Reminds me of something... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6TlNOwwQQJk ...and not in a good way... but I like the commercial, just not the screaming...
April 1, 201214 yr Filmed coaster is Dominator located at KD, looks like different parks being shown continues.
April 1, 201214 yr ^Facebook . Somebody said they didn't like the slogan, KI commented they will have a new one. It could be this CGA one, because I saw this same ad used for Carowinds.
April 1, 201214 yr I agree. If played too much, people will tune out the commercial because they find it annoying. I still liked that song they had in their commercials the last couple of years. It was catchy, but not annoying.
April 2, 201214 yr Speaking of CF advertising...is it normal for a park to use a fellow CF park's coaster for an ad? Taken off of CGA's website: http://s1145.photobucket.com/albums/o511/MaurerPower3/?action=view¤t=Vortex.png
April 2, 201214 yr It's done quite frequently and has been for years. In fact, Racer masqueraded for Rolling Thunder at Great Adventure before the latter coaster was built.
April 2, 201214 yr The "thrills connect" will in fact be used by every Cedar Fair park, from what advertising sources say....this is, in effect, a template ad.
April 4, 201214 yr I think it's supposed to mean that guests who don't ride coasters can still have fun by doing other things in the park (connecting thrills from people to their parks) by shows, food, etc...
April 18, 201214 yr I saw it a few times during Glee, it's not nearly as obnoxious as I thought. Far better than the Geico squealing pig ad...
May 1, 201214 yr Actually, after reconsidering, I rather like the Thrills Connect ads even though they are kind of silly-they remind me of those silly, wonderful ads by CP in the 90's. However, of course, prominently featured in the ad is KD''s Dominator. Although KI's ads have featured rides from different parks all the way back to the Paramount days, it still seems like a disservice to your customer's to advertise in such a way.
