Yes a world class park, with a remodeled front gate, not a tear down, and the flags great plan.

Plus it would be nice to get some international sense back to park, with food, and themes.

More Flags

More Fun

And now Terpy better run!

Go Big.

Thrills Connect.

Or something!

It would cost so much to destroy it, then to build something, its just throwing money down the drain. Simply, if it makes money, they will put it in, if its just for show and will not bring in money then they wont. Look at the IRB with characters, it makes money, if they took it down, it would be a loss of money.

I doubt the brick pavers in Coney Lasy year brought in money.

I love the idea of the revamp. The sketch looks great!!!

Pavers opposed to asphalt: less hot, less slippery when wet, less maintenance, fewer claims.

New or renovated building: optimized space, cosmetic improvements, enhanced guest experience, higher employee productivity due to reduced functional obsolescence.

I actually think there may be more of an impact if something similar to the sketch above was built over both ends of Kings Island drive.

Okay I scrapped my previous drawing seen on the first page. So here's what I've been working on now. This option as another one presented would renovate the current entry gate. The front towers would be simply for looks while the rear would be elevator towers. All towers would be to somewhat frame the Eiffel Tower. The Now Showing boxes on the front would be for LCD screens for the park to use as it saw fit. Hope you enjoy.KI_Reno_Entrance_render.png

Wonderful hope park executives like these proposals, spruces, up the front gate, and keeps the passion and vision for Kings Island.

The front door is always where you welcome guests,

These are great!

^, ^^ I'll agree with both of you however, what I do like about the red/blue one is that it shows the curvatures of the towers better.

Agreed, maybe just a different color in the curve itself?

I like matthunterross's design as well.

Thanks so much!

That does look fantastic…they should hire you to do the maps for the park, too!

Funny you say that... I'm working on it!

^I think that's what matthunterross' drawing is alluding to, just an overlay of the original building.

That's correct. Though the porch area in the center would hopefully be functional.

That would be a nice place to have characters waving at the guests entering the park. Overall it looks very nice!

Lets say Cedar Fair decides to tear down the old front gate complex, how long will it take to tear it down and build the new front gate complex? Don't forget this is a major construction project that all the guest will pass through. It will have to house new guest service's center, rest rooms, shops, commissary, admission offices and other services now housed. What will the total cost be to tear it down and construct the new gate complex. Don't forget the drawings for all utilities, engineering drawings, permits and such. Another thing, what asbestos removal? Will it just be cost effective to just remodel the whole complex vs. new construction? It will not be able to be started until the park closes and it opens in April.

That would mean it'd pass through a kitchen area, wouldn't it?
