Sonofbeast2.0
My brother works at a place that deals with Pepsi products and they had to call out a Pepsi guy to come and get things fixed and ready for Butler county fair, accoreding to the Pepsi man he said they lost the bid for having all CF parks Pepsi for next year. I hope this is true and does happen! I know this sounds like more of a hunch but if true then every CF park will have Coke for 2013-???? seasons. Anyone who has news to back up or the oppasite now would be a great time to speak your mind.
jcgoble3
*sigh* That Pepsi guy should be careful what he says, lest he lose his job. I would prefer Pepsi. Mountain Dew (which I love) is a staple of the Pepsi lineup and can pretty much be guaranteed to be available at all Pepsi fountains. The Coke equivalent, Mello Yello (which I can't tell the difference between it and Dew), does not enjoy the same status and isn't available at many Coke fountains. It can be frustrating to have to walk halfway around the park to find a stand that sells Mello Yello. That problem would very likely not be present with Mountain Dew.
Maverick00
I hope this isn't true, Pepsi is much better.
Voicetek
Didn't Coke make Surge? Gosh I'd love to have some of that again!

Maverick00
Well Six Flags extended their deal with Coke. http://investors.sixflags.com/phoenix.zhtml?c=61629&p=irol-newsArticle&ID=1715716&highlight=
BB1
So theres Dippin Dots guy said, now Pepsi products guy said... Just remember the ToS, it may be relevant in this thread, IceCold was a good example....
Titan
Coke and Pepsi? They all taste the same to me.
Ffej
Man, I hope Coke wins out Cedar Fair. It's the strongest, most-preferred carbonated beverage brand if you look at sales and charts. Plus, I personally like the extra-carbonated bite of Coke products, in comparison to the sweeter, flatter Pepsi products. I think the Coke Freestyle machines make a fun addition to the park as well.

The parks could all go to Snapple for all I know, I hear news I share. This could be just an ugly game of telephone.
stashua123
Whats up with this dip'n dots guy?
diamondhawk
The very sneaky Dip'n dots guy is known to have inside information that nobody (including the park itself) is given. Watch your back around them, you never know what to expect.
PKIVortex
The only reason why the former Paramount Parks have Coke is because Paramount signed a deal with them before the Cedar Fair take over. If Coke give Cedar Fair a better deal, then all parks will have Coke next year, we shall see.
Magm&MForce24/7
Would they possibly keep the same products at the same parks? (ex-paramount Coke, and the rest Pepsi) It's strange as the Coke Freestyles are new and seem to be popular, but the flagships new show is sponsored by Pepsi. The sponsoring could easily change to Coke or may not need a sponsor come next year.
markr
For me the Coke/Pepsi debate is irrelevant-I drink Vernors' Ginger Ale.
DropZone99
Although I am no longer "strictly Pepsi" (I used to refuse to drink Coke products), I still have the customer loyalty for Pepsi. I'd prefer they stick with Pepsi, but if not, CF better have Coke Zero!
Dieseltech20
I prefer fountain Pepsi over Coke and vice versa in bottles. I think Mello Yello (good) tastes nothing like Dew (nasty).

homestar92
^ The Coke Freestyle Machine is in Hank's Burrito Shack. Also, My drink of choice is Dr Pepper, so either way, I can't have it. At least Coke has a similar product in Mr. Pibb. And yes, my spelling of Dr Pepper is correct. Go look at a can of it.

The Interpreter
I wonder about reasturants that are srictly Pepsi or Coke in the parks? They serve what the park does. Contract requirement. Skyline Chili outside the park is Pepsi. Chick-Fil-A at Cedar Point has Pepsi.
PKIVortex
If Cedar Point switches to Coke next year, I will miss getting Mountain Dew at the Point. But as long as if they have Mellow Yellow it would be ok. I was glad to see that KI started to serve Mellow Yellow again.

All Parmount bought parks are Coke, all pervious CF parks before 2006 are Pepsi. Possibly next year all Coke.
IndyGuy4KI
Having Pepsi with no Dr Pepper as a substitute was a big disappointment of my first trip to CP last year. They lost money from me on my per caps spending. I am a Coke person, and drink Dr Pepper as an alternative if a place serves Pepsi. I don't drink much in the way of carbonated drinks at home, so having a Coke or Dr Pepper while eating out is a treat. If a restaurant does not offer one of those you will not see me visit that restaurant much.
Dalefan
Everything the parks do product wise depends on how much money both parties make. It would be nice to see a .50 to a 1.00 drop in price of the bottle pop inside the parks.
