flightoffear1996 Posted January 3, 2013 Posted January 3, 2013 They must have major plans for this area. If they didn't why not just leave TA there? 2
westcoaster Posted January 3, 2013 Posted January 3, 2013 The area may be the start of a total redevelopement of Action Zone, and Oktoberfest, time will tell but this seems huge. It may not just be a coaster maybe a small campground to, so many possibilities. We shall see; 2
Captain Nemo Posted January 3, 2013 Posted January 3, 2013 I hope they connect AC to Oktoberfest in a new road. AZ just seems to much like a dead end.
BB1 Posted January 3, 2013 Posted January 3, 2013 It looks like an apocalyptic land filled with rubble of a radioactive coaster...
TheCrypt Posted January 3, 2013 Posted January 3, 2013 They must have major plans for this area. If they didn't why not just leave TA there? Perhaps the attraction was no longer profitable for the park. 2
THE_BEASTmaster Posted January 3, 2013 Posted January 3, 2013 And to add to that, how often do you see people racing in Thunder Alley on a daily basis?
Oldschool75 Posted January 3, 2013 Posted January 3, 2013 And to add to that, how often do you see people racing in Thunder Alley on a daily basis? As of labor day weekend; nobody. (insert rimshot) 3
stashua123 Posted January 3, 2013 Posted January 3, 2013 I know the new name for this new area! ............. .................. .................. ACTION COUNTY! 3
BavarianBeatle Posted January 3, 2013 Posted January 3, 2013 During the Constitutional Convention, Ben Franklin looked at sun on the back of Washington's chair and wondered if it was a rising sun or a setting sun. I now wonder if this looks like new construction or if it looks like the area formerly occupied by Steel Venom and X Flight during the 2007 season. 1
CedarPointer Posted January 4, 2013 Posted January 4, 2013 During the Constitutional Convention, Ben Franklin looked at sun on the back of Washington's chair and wondered if it was a rising sun or a setting sun. I now wonder if this looks like new construction or if it looks like the area formerly occupied by Steel Venom and X Flight during the 2007 season. No. 1
SonofBaconator Posted January 5, 2013 Posted January 5, 2013 They must have major plans for this area. If they didn't why not just leave TA there? Because people didn't want to dish out money to drive in a circle...... 3
shark6495 Posted January 5, 2013 Posted January 5, 2013 They must have major plans for this area. If they didn't why not just leave TA there? Because people didn't want to dish out money to drive in a circle...... Well I will say that if the TA land was not part of a future investment into the park, they would have left it to at least gain a few dollars. 1
UncleHenry Posted January 7, 2013 Posted January 7, 2013 *Pops his head in* Oh, still arguing and fighting change. Glad to see I'm not missing anything here. *Goes back into not caring about this site* 9
The Interpreter Posted January 7, 2013 Posted January 7, 2013 Happy New Year to you, too. (If you are not part of the solution, you are part of the problem) 15
Monroe Posted January 7, 2013 Posted January 7, 2013 ^Flower power!! (or some wild flower seeds to cover the area) During the Constitutional Convention, Ben Franklin looked at sun on the back of Washington's chair and wondered if it was a rising sun or a setting sun. I now wonder if this looks like new construction or if it looks like the area formerly occupied by Steel Venom and X Flight during the 2007 season. I thought Washington's shirt was not tucked in so he thought it was a setting sun on a rising moon? 1
Captain Nemo Posted January 7, 2013 Posted January 7, 2013 Im gonna have to agree with Henry. He is wise. 4
TOPGUN1993 Posted January 7, 2013 Posted January 7, 2013 I think he's being serious Terp. Why "like" it? 1
TTD-120-420 Posted January 7, 2013 Posted January 7, 2013 Why are we making a big deal about people leaving the site, when they never really contributed anyways? 4
TOPGUN1993 Posted January 7, 2013 Posted January 7, 2013 Why are we making a big deal about people leaving the site, when they never really contributed anyways? Considering "Captain Nemo" spent 100's upon 100's of dollars renting a plane to get aerial photos of the park for this site, I'd consider that a major contribution. (Firehawk, IJST DB construction) 9
UncleHenry Posted January 7, 2013 Posted January 7, 2013 Never really contributed, that's a laugh. Since Nemo is out, maybe I should start posting again, take his place. Because the fact that I live nowhere near the park anymore, and now spend my time with much better parks in California, makes me "part of the problem". Should get a lot of laughs from the people here. I've already gotten a few, especially TTD's comment, when I've got almost 3x as many posts as he does. 3
TTD-120-420 Posted January 7, 2013 Posted January 7, 2013 I shouldn't have said never. I should have said recently.
The Interpreter Posted January 7, 2013 Posted January 7, 2013 Incredible pictures from Japan, very recently... 1
LordSkippy Posted January 7, 2013 Posted January 7, 2013 Did I miss something, or is Nemo really saying he's leaving the site because Terpy made a witty comment? 8
TOPGUN1993 Posted January 7, 2013 Posted January 7, 2013 Guess Nemo isn't the only one who finds Interpreters posts obnoxious. 1
mccarthysnerd Posted January 7, 2013 Posted January 7, 2013 I don't see anything wrong with Terpy's posts here..... He contributes more than enough to this site and I wouldn't ever consider his posts obnoxious. Guess Nemo isn't the only one who finds Interpreters posts obnoxious.
