standbyme
KingsIslandPR: Park visitors could get one of these when they visited Cincinnati's Coney Island in 1971. http://t.co/pRJ9gMFs And in today's eBay market it's like they were giving away a $25.00 and up valued item. jcgoble3
Why does water that has "trickled through the mountains for centuries" have a "use by" date?
kblanken
Why does water that has "trickled through the mountains for centuries" have a "use by" date? Over a long period of time, water in a plastic bottle can develop unpleasant odors and tastes. Without any sort of "best if used by" date, if somebody loads up on water and lets it sit for too long, they may drink it and think it tastes terrible, causing them to contact the bottler/retailer to seek a refund, or more.
TheCrypt
Why does water that has "trickled through the mountains for centuries" have a "use by" date? Without any sort of "best if used by" date, if somebody loads up on water and lets it sit for too long, they may drink it and think it tastes terrible, causing them to contact the bottler/retailer to seek a refund, or more. It's not because of refunds and taste. Plastic sinking into your food and drink can be deadly, which is also the reason why people should never microwave food with products like saran wrap over it.

While it is true that plastic can do some terrible things, the FDA states that shelf life of water, when produced in accordance with the set standards, has an indefinite safety shelf life. It goes on to explain that bottlers may voluntarily use expiration dates on the label. http://www.fda.gov/food/foodsafety/product-specificinformation/bottledwatercarbonatedsoftdrinks/ucm077079.htm

The Interpreter
Should I get and iPhone or an iPad? or a different device? Yes. Absolutely. You will wonder how you ever lived without it!

The Interpreter
What do you primarily want to use it for? That will help determine the answer. For example, an iPad is not ideal for making telephone calls....
DaveWorldEmperor
Mainly applications which both can do. I already have a smartphone, but it's getting old. I just got a new laptop too and I don't know how much different the tablet would make in my life, and the price of the iPad is at the top of my budget as well, however, its something new that I have never owned before. Captain Nemo
Why of all park chains did Cedar Fair have to buy the park?
The Interpreter
Because Dick Kinzel wanted it, really badly. Enough so to pay more for all five Paramount Parks than would any other prospective buyer.

SonofBaconator
What is an anti rollback? Is it where a train goes up the hill with out the aid of a chain until it can't go any higher than the chain lifts it?
The Interpreter
No. It's a series of little spikes a car can go forward over, but not backwards. They keep the train from rolling backwards. You can hear them on wood coasters (Son of Beast's were VERY loud) and particularly on Flight Deck. They can also be on other hills, but are most commonly found on lift hills.
SonofBaconator
Ok now I understand. Infact I can already hear flight deck's "cathunk cathunk" over and over in my head
TTD-120-420
Raptor's and Magnum's are also particularly loud. Many manufacturers such as Gerstlauer and B&M are now putting rubber on them to keep them quiet. http://rcdb.com/10148.htm?p=38335 That picture of Wild Eagle shows the ridges Terpy is talking about. I had to use a link because the iPad doesn't let me paste pictures.
