OldieButGoodie
Not sure this is the right place, so please forgive me if that's the case, but vote now! There's no denying that for coasters, CP is ahead of us. But we're sooooo spoiled with the short wait times almost any day we attend, as well as the compact layout of the park that allows us to change our minds without killing our legs! http://behindthethrills.com/2012/12/thrill-weekly-poll-park-of-the-year-2012-region-three/

TombRaiderFTW
At the risk of sounding like a fanboy or like I'm trying to overthrow your effort (I'm not), I voted for Holiday World. HW keeps growing into this bigger park but still manages to maintain this very personal and warm "small park" feeling. I do love KI (and, to a somewhat lesser extent, CP), but if you're asking me to pick between KI and HW, I'm probably going to pick Holiday World, despite how much I love Adventure Express and the childhood memories I have of KI. Edited after a couple likes to say: Now, if Dollywood were in the running...
IBEW_Sparky
Yep.... I agree 100% with that statement. Without a seconds hesitation, my local parks are ranked like this: 1)Holiday World (by a landslide IF Voyage really is running as well as people say it did this year) 2)Cedar Point 3)KI Edited, due to a LONG day at a vehicle auction frying my brain into making me list these as OHIO parks, even though my normal conscious mind knows HW is in Indiana lol. TTD-120-420
Holiday World is ranked as your number one Ohio park?
CoasterGeek101
While I love Kings Island, it's been my home park for years, but I do not feel it is worthy for 1st place. I feel 2nd or 3rd is more appropriate. Holiday World's employees are 10x better than Kings Island's.
westcoaster
Kings Island is far from a #1 choice, for Ohio its Cedar Point, even though the point to me has no dark ride, they do have lots of choices, a resort, sit down restaurants, and yes the beach. Much better park.
SonofBaconator
In my opinion Kings Island has been compeating with CP for years even after Cedar Fair bought them out. Even though Cedar Point has more thrills, Id like to see KI be ranked better this year.
The Interpreter
I'm sitting back watching with amazement that anyone cares what the result of this very unscientific Internet poll is. Beats the Golden Ticket, I suppose....
IBEW_Sparky
Thats exactly it.... I would much rather see the results of a non-scientific internet poll to that of the Golden Wallet... I mean Golden Ticket awards. Can people vote on the internet poll many times? Well, sure they can, but at least they arent voting with their wallets/advertising budgets.

Jr for Birdy
I was only allowed to vote once in this poll. I have been to better parks than KI but KI is a part of my childhood and now my kids childhood.I didnt jump off the Reds bandwagon for another team when they had some ruff years,im loyal baby! KI rules!

Thrill_Biscuit
It's all in the tower, baby! Having a lot of coasters is great and all, but without an Eiffel Tower, you're slummin'!
The Interpreter
That Indiana place has a functional water tower. That Mason place has a dinky, out-of-place fake water tower. If you can even call it that. Terpy, just sayin'

XGatorHead 8904
Well, let's see... I've been to 5 of the 8 parks in the running for the Finals (Dollywood, Idlewild, Sesame Place, KI & CP). As much as I love KI and enjoy CP, I had to give a slight edge to another park and voted for Dollywood. We had passes there this year and had lots of fun and created some great memories. In May, GatorGirl got her first ever inversions (on Tennessee Tornado), her first ride on Mystery Mine, and with her first ride on Thunderhead I gained a Thunderhead marathoning buddy! Not to mention the great shows, especially during Smoky Mountain Christmas, and the wonderful food. We spent a lot of time with friends there too over my nine days in the park, and even though it's nowhere near a Top 10 coaster for me, GatorGirl was absolutely thrilled in November when on our last visit of the year she was finally tall enough to ride Wild Eagle (and she could then say that she finally had a big park where she could ride EVERYTHING). WE also has the distinction of being her first B&M. So yup, DW wins for me this year.
Maverick00
I voted for Cedar Point. Some people might think Cedar Point is over rated but its defiantly one of the best. Not many parks can match the Beach and the views that Cedar Point delivers. I think 10 years from now, if Cedar Point is still getting voted #1 by the GTA, they'll actually deserve it. Ouimet is doing a great job and I see many consecutive years dedicated to family attractions. He's all about maximizing the resort and nighttime experience too so I think Cedar Point has the brightest future out of any park listed.
