YoungStud
Do you wear a fanny pack to amusement parks?
The Interpreter
I don't carry a bunch of junk with me in parks or most of life. In parks, I don't even carry a phone.
markr
Yes-people might laugh but I usually end up getting the last laugh because I am not the one who loses unsecured stuff on rides.

Sonofbeast2.0
No I don't. I don't even take a backpack. I usually bring myself my phone money/wallet and a friend or sometimes come with the rest of the family. Usally wear shorts with big button up pockets too so very little chance of lossing stuff. vortexfan
Of course I do, where else would I store my partially eaten turkey legs?!

malem
Thats not very cool bro. Was the point of creating this thread to criticize those who wear one?

The Interpreter
One of the great joys of being older is you generally don't give a rat's patootie about what others think is cool or not.
SupremoSteveo
I don't wear one. I usually just take in my ID, debit card, phone, and keys. Taking as little as possible is the way to go.

Titan
I don't bring enough stuff to need one. I usually leave most of my stuff in my car.
SupremoSteveo
Just one of those "just in case" things for me. No real reason other than that.

The Interpreter
I have not been carded in years. In many parks, ALL beer buyers are carded. Regardless of apparent age.

Who are you calling old? (lol. ) Just kidding-my exact sentiment. Remember, I am one of the few who went against the popular sentiment and voted for Mrs. Partridge over Mrs. Brady as the cooler mom.

And some places require photo ID when making a credit card purchase.
sheikra_rocks
CARGO'S! Love my cargo's. I stuff everything in my Velcro pockets! Wallet, phone, keys, left over lunch, you name it! Have not lost anything! The one time I left my phone in it's holster was last month at Coney Island, and I rode the Rock-O-Plane. Needless to say, I crushed the phone.
zombiejane
We always-always-always bring a hip-pouch with us. I burn easy, so I bring sun-screen. I'm also completely freaking blind w/out my glasses... After breaking my last pair on Alpengeist, I need a case to keep the new ones safe and my pockets aren't big enough to house that.
KI-ORIG-EMP
At Kings Island all credit card users have to show a valid government picture ID before using it to make a purchase. You would be surprised how many teens try to use their parents credit/debit card when they go to the park without their parent being with them. Or if an adult uses their credit card and they leave their ID in their car. Also, sign the back of your credit/debit card. The merchant should compare the signature on the back of the card against the signature on the credit card receipt.

I have used my credit card at KI in the past, but have not always been asked for ID. Sometimes they ask for it, sometimes they don't.
JTW
No way. I'd rather risk losing my Ray Ban aviators on any ride before I'd ever wear a fanny pack and keep them safe.

The Interpreter
I have not even once been asked to show ID when using a credit card at Kings Island. And, in literally thousands of credit card transactions in the past five years, not even once have I seen any merchant, including hotels, flip over the card and compare signatures on the card and slip In fact, my signature wore off my most used card, which often gets used many times per day, years ago.
MDMC01
I do wear a fanny pack to the park and used to wear it with me on rides, but nowadays I keep it in a locker once I get to the park.
LongLiveTheSmurfRide
I take my ID just in case of the credit card thing. Never got carded at KI, but when I went to Holiday World earlier this year was carded for each credit transaction.
