fanofFirehawk
How do you feel about Mr. Ouimet and his management, is he better than the previous? Vote above and go further in-depth below (that didn't turn out that way I wanted).
coasterfanatic83
I trust him. He seems to have a good knowledge of what he is doing, and it will be interesting to see what Cedar Fair becomes under his leadership.I am yet to question a decision he has made.
Ride On_17
He has done an AMAZING job so far. He's improved guest experiences, park atmospheres, and ride selections just to name a few things. I really cannot wait to see what he has in store for the company in the future.
IndyGuy4KI
After visiting CP last weekend for the first time this season, I was very impressed with how things are looking up there. I did not see one ride down (which in past years was never the case.) Heck TTD was sending trains out every 57 seconds like clock work! Everyone was friendly, same as I have come to expect from KI. We are getting a new coaster, sales and shares are up. I would say he is doing a great job!
The Interpreter
So far, incredible. From a country club board ruled with an iron hand by one man to corporate openness, strategic planning, research and doing the right thing for unit holders, associates AND customers. It's a welcome breath of fresh air. Well done, Mr. Ouimet.
BeastForever
Who do I think has been more beneficial for Cedar Fair as a business and company overall? Ouimet by far... But from a thrill seeker perspective I still will always miss Kinzel a little bit.

But from a thrill seeker perspective I still will always miss Kinzel a little bit. One thing we have to keep in mind is if was not Kinzel sitting in that seat it would have been someone else pushing that envelope. Agreed he may have pushed it a long a little faster and harder than someone else, and for that other areas suffered.
The Interpreter
Jane Cooper pushed it at Paramount Parks...then a cabal pushed her out the door and Al Weber took charge. Terp, just notin'
RailRider
All I can say is that this season at KI was one of the best I can remember in some time. The park felt alive again very revitalized, to me that is a sign that things behind the scenes are going much better and smoother. I know the additions and direction the park seems to be going are a vast improvement from where it was headed the past decade.

Creed Bratton
I like Ouimet. I've spoke with him several times. He is really nice and friendly. I like the direction I feel he's going with the parks and he's not Dick Kinzel.
Tr0y
Ouimet is doing an amazing job but i do question him making the statement of parks being their own brand, the parks themselves don't standout much from eachother other than comparing CP or a Cedar Fair park before the paramount takeover... And all the paramount parks still resemble eachother in a sense... Another issue i have is a lack of variety or rides and coasters alot of the newer flat rides are becoming chain wide , and the newer coasters are becoming chain wide B&M. I don't mind b&m but manufacture variety is a must,I emphasize variety because its great there's no comparison with a arrow hyper and a b&m hyper both coasters are hyper coasters but the difference is the manufactures engineering style both produce very different rides experiences... I wouldn't want all intamin coasters either i need b&m floater airtime as a cool down from all the intamin thrill!
BeastForever
Give Ouimet some more time and then see how much he's fulfilled his promise. Besides I'm pretty sure the chain-wide WindSeekers were Kinzel additions (were they not?) and Intimidator and Intimidator 305 were also added by Kinzel.

Colonel_SoB_fan
Variety doesn't seem to bother places like holiday world. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I547 using Tapatalk now Free
The Interpreter
Yeah. They have many awesome adult steel coasters from all the world's major manufacturers. Same for wood, for that matter. Or even flats (where every major flat type is represented). Not.

DontWantToWait42mar0
Observe Matt Ouimet then observe Ed Hart. I'd say Ouimet is doing pretty darn good.
The Interpreter
Ed Hart is a master at what he does.* * (Primarily make lots and lots of money for Ed Hart and Bruce Lunsford, and doing so with other peoples' money and at those other peoples' risk and that of the taxpayers of the Commonwealth of Kentucky. Oh, yes, he's VERY good at that)
sheikra_rocks
Here you have someone who has an eye for theme coming from a park where theme is number 1, cleanliness is number 2, and guest safety is number 3. (I joke, but seriously...lol) I think we are going to see more updates in all of the parks overall while he has control of the reigns.
fanofFirehawk
His current contract is through 2016 if I am correct. I hope he stays longer than that he is doing an exceptional job as CEO right now.
Ride On_17
I agree. Not only would I miss him if he leaves so soon but it would be completely idiotic to get ride of him. He is just what Cedar Fair needs.
