KI FANATIC 37 Posted March 13, 2014 Posted March 13, 2014 Don's probably just laughing to himself. 2 Quote
stashua123 Posted March 13, 2014 Posted March 13, 2014 Yes it is back on! IT is a new magic show! Edit: OH Sorry I said New magic show. I was posting w/o thinking. Quote
ki95 Posted March 13, 2014 Posted March 13, 2014 Banshee's kid sister, "Banshette" If only this was the new attraction! Very disappointed with the announcement Sadly I would take a musical revue of it. Oh well Quote
Voicetek Posted March 13, 2014 Posted March 13, 2014 ^^A new magic show? I was unaware that the new show was a magic show. The show is called "Cirque Imagine," and the announcement said that it is a show, "...featuring an incredible showcase of strength, balance and athleticism." I'm not sure this is magic show. 4 Quote

homestar92 Posted March 13, 2014 Posted March 13, 2014 I'm sure that some will derive great enjoyment from this show. I will almost certainly not be part of this "some", but to each his own. I had my two consecutive years of enjoyment out of that theater. Because I love Kings Island, I hope the show is a success, but I will not be contributing to the success, as I have no intention of seeing the show. 2 Quote
jdawg1998 Posted March 13, 2014 Posted March 13, 2014 I'll be honest, it looks kind of dumb. I know they just posted a 2-minute video, but it looks like 1/100 of what Cirque De Soleil is. Oh, wow, people roller blading over a hill - cool! 5 Quote
rcwizard13 Posted March 13, 2014 Posted March 13, 2014 I like this. I think it could be a very entertaining show. I'll just have to wait and see. rcwizard13, who expected this announcement was for KI Theater and laughed at most posts in this thread. 3 Quote
GamesAndRides Posted March 13, 2014 Posted March 13, 2014 Eh. Im 50/50 On the Show. Love The Set, Just don't like that is acrobats show. Bring something like All Wheels Extreme! From Cedar Point. Quote
Gabe Posted March 13, 2014 Posted March 13, 2014 Think of this show more along the lines of what you'd find on a cruise ship--given the size of the stage in the theater, I think the show will be good. Cirque Du Soleil plays on massive stages (for their permanent shows), so its comparing apples to oranges. If only KI would put a bit of money into rehabbing the interior. New carpet and seats would be a start. 6 Quote

Oh, wow, people roller blading over a hill - cool! While I sat it out to ride Leviathan, Canada's Wonderland has the same show. From what I hear, it is an amazing show. 2 Quote
Guest KingsIslandPR Posted March 13, 2014 Posted March 13, 2014 Long-time park visitors will find the caliber of this show ranks right up there with the shows they saw in the KI Theater in the 1970's and 1980's. 32 Quote
sheikra_rocks Posted March 13, 2014 Posted March 13, 2014 An attraction can mean ANYTHING. I think they are using their words carefully here. An attraction can be a magic show, remote control boats, a museum, a ride, etc. I doubt it will be a new ride. Why would they take the "New ride" focus off Banshee? By the way, I was correct. 1 Quote
Shaggy Posted March 13, 2014 Posted March 13, 2014 Wow... if Don's comparing it to the likes of "Celebration" (which I saw...) then it's sure to be amazing. :-) 10 Quote
SOBwasaSOB Posted March 13, 2014 Posted March 13, 2014 This sounds like a cool show to me im excited. Mat not be everyones cup of tea but it is a welcome addition in my eyes. Course I havent seen it yet... By the way that crash was crazy! 2 Quote
TombRaiderFTW Posted March 13, 2014 Posted March 13, 2014 I'm not one for shows at parks, but this I am decently interested in. Ed Alonso was a great addition last year, and, though he didn't do too much for me personally, I really liked the deviation from musical revues and ice-skating Snoopys. (I was born after those 70's and 80's shows, so I can't exactly compare this to them, but this is a welcomed change from what I can remember growing up with at the park.) Thanks to everyone at KI who decided to try something new and different--I know I'll be at a showing of this as soon as I can. 5 Quote
TheBeast1116 Posted March 13, 2014 Posted March 13, 2014 The flying Eagles would have been nice but, it is what it is, can't change anything. 1 Quote
TheBeast1116 Posted March 13, 2014 Posted March 13, 2014 I've never been to a Kings Island show. Wish I have though, they look really good! 1 Quote
SOBwasaSOB Posted March 13, 2014 Posted March 13, 2014 So there is a right and wrong way to enjoy amusement parks? Lol. Yes I know there are some wrong ways...but those break rules and laws 6 Quote
LoraX Posted March 13, 2014 Posted March 13, 2014 I think this will be awesome in person. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk 5 Quote
ki95 Posted March 13, 2014 Posted March 13, 2014 I think it would have been really cool if they just stuck the the skateboarding aspect & not the "cirque" (if that's what you want to call it) Quote
Gordon Bombay Posted March 13, 2014 Posted March 13, 2014 Who would want to go to a show, when their is all those amazing rides in the park. Come on people! I would rather ride Diamondback, The Beast, and Banshee, then watch a show. Not everyone has their fanny pack on so tightly and filled to the gills with gravy. 20 Quote

I would rather ride Diamondback, The Beast, and Banshee, then watch a show. A few examples: -Grandparents/parents who are visiting with grandkids and can't/don't want to ride those rides -Anyone of any age who doesn't like the rides (yes, those people exist) and finds him- or herself at the park -People who go to amusement parks like Kings Island for more than just the rides (some of whom post here) -People who are physically unable to ride the rides -People who like the shows at the park enough to make a fansite for them 13 Quote
sheikra_rocks Posted March 13, 2014 Posted March 13, 2014 I love shows at parks almost as much as I like the rides. Sometimes, days are planned around showtimes. 9 Quote
