kikid74 Posted July 21, 2015 Posted July 21, 2015 How accurate are the wait times in the official KI app? Quote
matt112986 Posted July 21, 2015 Posted July 21, 2015 Depends on the ride and when it was updated. Vortex has been a 10 min wait with 50 reported for me before. It's usually within 10 minutes thought. What times are you getting? Coming up in a little while. 1 Quote
KIDB Posted July 21, 2015 Posted July 21, 2015 I think it's about 10-15 off. However, I've noticed some days that a ton of rides will say 0 minute wait when it is very busy, so I'm not sure how things are updated exactly. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Quote
WindingSon Posted July 21, 2015 Posted July 21, 2015 Headed to the park tomorrow for Trip #2. Can I get lucky twice? 3 Quote
CoasterDirected Posted July 22, 2015 Posted July 22, 2015 The date went about as perfect as it could, although Drop Tower did not open by the time we left. Ride times were long enough for us to have a conversation, but short enough to get a rather large amount done. Chaperone was great (her mother), she was great to talk to and gave us plenty of time to ourselves. Both she and I had an absolute blast, and may easily be the best day of the season for me. Kings Island's not just a thrill seekers paradise, it's a place where memories are made. 6 Quote
WindingSon Posted July 22, 2015 Posted July 22, 2015 Pretty good crowd today. Also WindSeeker stopped spinning at the top and came down that way. 2 Quote
amberxo2011 Posted July 22, 2015 Posted July 22, 2015 I had my first trip ever at Soak City today. Never been to a water park before. Now I'm in line for The Beast. Pretty decent wait. Crowded for a Wednesday . 3 Quote
WindingSon Posted July 22, 2015 Posted July 22, 2015 Crowds heavier than I expected. I know school goes back soon though so this could be a last hurrah for some. 2 Quote
WindingSon Posted July 23, 2015 Posted July 23, 2015 I'm next in line on Banshee and it goes down. Something wrong with the green train. 2 Quote
jcgoble3 Posted July 25, 2015 Posted July 25, 2015 Beast line is to the vending machines, with no switchbacks open. 2 Quote
Oldschool75 Posted July 25, 2015 Posted July 25, 2015 No line at Starbucks! Is the park closed?Sent from a signal coming out of the Vega system. 3 Quote
mandyw103 Posted July 25, 2015 Posted July 25, 2015 How are the crowds in general today On the rides side? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Quote
LoraX Posted July 26, 2015 Posted July 26, 2015 As of right now, crowds are light which is the norm on Sunday mornings. Sent from my SM-G860P using Tapatalk 2 Quote
rivertowngirl Posted July 28, 2015 Posted July 28, 2015 Thinking of bringing out of town guests to ki this afternoon and evening. How are the crowds today? Long wait times? My friends would like to get the Fast Lane passes but I'd rather not if its not too packed. Quote
malem Posted July 31, 2015 Posted July 31, 2015 Goble and I are here after finishing The Beach. Wait times aren't bad, though Diamondback is backed up as usual. Banshee has been at the stairs. 3 Quote
KIDB Posted August 1, 2015 Posted August 1, 2015 Anyone know current wait times? Thinking of making the trip for some night rides! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Quote
Joncars05 Posted August 1, 2015 Posted August 1, 2015 I wish they would update the ride times for people outside of the park on the KI app. I really like that they include the ride times when you are in the park but for those who might want to drop by randomly ride time updates would be great. I know if I had a free day and I saw 10-15 minute waits for most of the rides I would drop by for a couple of hours. 1 Quote
The Interpreter Posted August 1, 2015 Posted August 1, 2015 They are more worried people will see 60 minute plus waits and stay home or go to a movie instead. 6 Quote
KIDB Posted August 1, 2015 Posted August 1, 2015 I can see both sides of it. They'd see me more often on slow days if I could see the wait times when trying to decide. At the same time, if there are big waits today, I won't be heading that way. I think it's a 50/50 split on whether it would help them or hurt them. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk 4 Quote
DiamondAceExpress Posted August 1, 2015 Posted August 1, 2015 It is very busy. Chicken Shack had both sides open. Diamondback's queue is full except for that area they don't always use near the lift hill. 6 Quote
jsus Posted August 1, 2015 Posted August 1, 2015 ^ Liked for the info and as a unit holder, not the busyness as a guest. 2 Quote
IBEW_Sparky Posted August 1, 2015 Posted August 1, 2015 The length of Diamondstacks line cant be used as a reliable representation of park business, and honestly nor can any of the food service establishments in the park this year from what Ive heard. Â The webcams may be a better representation, and since one has to be online in some capacity to read this thread, I feel the KI website with said webcams would be the more trustworthy option. 3 Quote
Italian Job 2005 Posted August 1, 2015 Posted August 1, 2015 How accurate are the wait times in the official KI app? Â It seems to me from the Interactive Park maps that they update every hour. Â Which is not nearly as frequent as it should be. 4 Quote
KIDB Posted August 1, 2015 Posted August 1, 2015 Headed that way anyways, hoping the crowd thins out for some good night rides! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Quote
KIDB Posted August 2, 2015 Posted August 2, 2015 Very busy is an understatement! When there is an hour wait for AE, that's not my kind of evening! WindSeeker, Delirium, and Drop Tower are 5-10 minute waits. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk 2 Quote
MDMC01 Posted August 2, 2015 Posted August 2, 2015 Went by there today around 6:30ish and the parking lot looked super-packed as some people were parking out in the grass (close to the road, near Soak City lot). 1 Quote
electricsun Posted August 2, 2015 Posted August 2, 2015 It is really busy. My friend left and I'm resting my feet/charging my phone before heading back in. Banshee was listed as a 15 min wait but was 45 - we got on the ride at 8p. When we rode The Beast (before walking up to AE and Banshee) it was an hour-ish wait. The queue section closest to the exit was open as well as two switchbacks in the station. 1 Quote
electricsun Posted August 2, 2015 Posted August 2, 2015 Wait times are still as long as earlier today. The Beast has both sections full and a line out the entrance. No ride through the forest for me tonight. Quote
