August 12, 201511 yr Out of all of the Six Flags parks, this park always seems to interest me the most. It went from a failure to an overbuilt success with the War on Lines and such things as that, to a compromise of the two. I hope they finally get a new rollercoaster as there hasnt been a NEW (Green Lantern was 2011 but it used to be Chang at Kentucky Kingdom) rollercoaster since 2008. Hopefully its something good but since Six Flags has been putting out mediocre attractions as of late (even the RMCs don't look too exciting, S&S freefly looks cool but not a jaw dropping attraction) I won't be expecting much.
August 12, 201511 yr Author The New Texas Giant doesn't look like much? Wicked Cyclone? Goliath? Twisted Cyclone? Hoo Boy... What DOES it take to excite you? Somewhere in California is a guy saying Beast? Banshee? Mediocre attractions that don't look like much. SFGAd a failure before The War On Lines? Yeah, back before Six Flags bought it. Otherwise, no. Not even close. Just like Kings Island, a park that Great Adventure was modeled on (right down to Dream Street, Rolling Thunder, etc.), Great Adventure is among its respective chain's most profitable parks. Unlike Kings Island, Great Adventure is between two major markets--New York City and Philly, drawing a tough crowd in oh, so many ways. The park must be experienced to be believed. I love it so.
August 12, 201511 yr That's why I was saying today, they have due to Premier Parks debt taken out some of the rides in the early to mid 2000s and due to the type of rides they purchased in the War on Lines. However I was saying that NJFTP was a success still, it has just lost some rides and a whole section of the theme park, Old Country being closed off and today the rides are still SBNO in that area. I am still saying NJFTP is a great theme park. It is New Jersey's Finest Theme Park after all. Like you were I was upset that they removed Rolling Thunder when they could've kept it their, it wasn't in the way for the path to Zumanjaro. You probably had different reasons that you were upset about it but I was too. Now about the Six Flags rides, I agree with you that I was wrong to say "not exciting rollercoasters" and "the past few years have not added a jaw dropping attraction". They have added some great rides. I guess I am just upset about how many wooden rollercoasters they have removed or "reimagined" since they built NTG(Texas Giant looked like a great rollercoaster before but it probably didn't age well). Six Flags has a cheaper budget than other theme park chains but they do well with the money they have and make sure that all theme parks get a new attraction each year; which is a policy some other theme park chains should follow(cough Cedar Fair cough). I'm sorry for sounding like a "Coaster Fanboy". I should've worded my response differently. I apologize, The Interpreter. Truce?
August 12, 201511 yr Author There's nothing to apologize for. I do, however, point out two words: Thunder Road.
