Oldschool75 Posted August 17, 2015 Posted August 17, 2015 Rode Vortex again since it was a walk on. As we came into the final helix a spot of pink caught my eye down by one of Vortex footer. I actually rode again (agh) to verify what've saw. But yes a pink ribbon/tape used for marking/surveying. It was a lone marker, so may be nothing. I tried to get a picture but it sits on the other side of the hill in this picture. Sent from a signal coming out of the Vega system. 6

Terp is also one of those people that could have inside info about whats coming to the park. just sayin Terp is also the kind of poster who could purposefully unintentionally mislead people. so who knows? besides Terp 7

electricsun Posted August 18, 2015 Posted August 18, 2015 The marking in the parking lot has been there for a while. I'm pretty sure I saw it in the parking lot at the very beginning of August at the latest. There is another one that says 370. 2

(edited to add that seeing the blue ribbon yesterday made me smile and think it was either being wrapped up as a gift or won a blue ribbon for being the best fence. RailRider Posted August 18, 2015 Posted August 18, 2015 That marker on Vortex is nothing new, it exists to help the park monitor the rate at which Vortex is sinking in comparison to the rate at which Magnum XL is sinking. Now I have a non soda themed structure that needs erected so that rampant speculation can reach towering heights... 11

Magenta Lizard Posted August 19, 2015 Posted August 19, 2015 I rode yesterday to try to find the marker mentioned. The only thing I saw that was fluorescent pink and looked anything like tape was a 42" wristband laying on the ground somewhat near the brake run. Trying to look for things while riding Vortex makes for a very interesting experience, too... 10
