presto123 Posted May 18, 2019 Posted May 18, 2019 Anybody want to take a guess how much construction may be done by the time we hit the Haunt season? Will all support structures and track all be done during Winter/Spring season? 2
DiamondBanshee Posted May 18, 2019 Posted May 18, 2019 Some supports and track should be up by the off-season I think. Banshee had the first hill and drop with complete or nearly complete by off-season I believe so this should have at least some done. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk 4
teenageninja Posted May 18, 2019 Posted May 18, 2019 The discussion about TR:TR/The Crypt and SoB should tell people how far we have come. Instead of getting a "totally immersive dark ride adventure" or arguably the most disappointing roller coaster ever built, we're getting a B&M giga. If Paramount was still in charge of the parts, we wouldn't have any B&Ms. We'd be getting Premier coasters. 12

AdventureExpress35 Posted May 18, 2019 Posted May 18, 2019 DB has its station and transfer track built before haunt, if memory serves. 4
Sorner Posted May 18, 2019 Posted May 18, 2019 Just now, upstop said: Haunt attraction building? God I hope not. The existing ones are already hideous enough and stick out like a sore thumb. 8
upstop Posted May 18, 2019 Posted May 18, 2019 Me too, however I think the park might be losing one with the new construction. 6
upstop Posted May 18, 2019 Posted May 18, 2019 I’m guessing Field of Screams might be down during the construction. That’s the one down the DA path. 5
thatguyfromohio Posted May 18, 2019 Posted May 18, 2019 Transfer track Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk 4
FUN&ONLY! Posted May 18, 2019 Posted May 18, 2019 Could the X’s on the ground be where footers are supposed to go? 5
Cincinatired Posted May 18, 2019 Posted May 18, 2019 What about kill mart it looks like its closing also 5

sikkinixx99 Posted May 18, 2019 Posted May 18, 2019 Do you mean like where the trains go overnight? 3

sikkinixx99 Posted May 18, 2019 Posted May 18, 2019 If it would be for transfer track then that layout is fake. A big IF but I wouldn't complain lol 4
thatguyfromohio Posted May 18, 2019 Posted May 18, 2019 Tbh I don’t think they’ll start a new haunt maze this soon anyways. It doesn’t take all season to put up a building. But from past coaster construction pictures I’ve seen, it looks like the start of transfer track. And it’s attached to a road, so easy transportation for off season Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Edit, or possibly a station 5
Imperial79 Posted May 18, 2019 Posted May 18, 2019 Is it normal to put gravel down like that, and then build a new building on top of it? 3
FUN&ONLY! Posted May 18, 2019 Posted May 18, 2019 The X’s look to be perfectly arranged in the pattern of the footers for Fury 325’s transfer track, but correct me if I am wrong... 6
sikkinixx99 Posted May 18, 2019 Posted May 18, 2019 This would really change alot of things if that's what it is 3
thatguyfromohio Posted May 18, 2019 Posted May 18, 2019 I stand by the layout being fake. But usually for a building, cement is poured with wooden columns in spot. With gravel wrapped around them. I think the x will mark footings.Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk 11
FUN&ONLY! Posted May 18, 2019 Posted May 18, 2019 Also, why would Kings Island keep all of the Firehawk land perfectly leveled, not to mention that it looks like they have cleared more land behind the original Firehawk plot of land, if they are only planning on using half of it per the “leaked” layout. This is what I mean... according to the leaked layout, this land is not supposed to be used at all for the new coaster, but it looks like they are keeping it perfectly leveled, seemingly for construction. ohiocoasterfan Posted May 18, 2019 Posted May 18, 2019 I doubt this is anything more than storage. I don’t think they would let anyone this close to anything involving Project X at this point. We haven’t even had teasers yet. 6
mk_schlt Posted May 18, 2019 Posted May 18, 2019 Can someone over lay the plans from the city in this location? Seems tight to me to match those plans though Also if this was a new storage building there would need to be plans for it submitted to the city. 5
Benjamin22 Posted May 18, 2019 Posted May 18, 2019 Maybe it’s going to be used for storing the floats for the Grand Carnival? 5
