I know it's gotten alot of smack, but I still gotta say Top Gun. I know it's not going any time soon, but I just can't stand that ride unless I sit front seat.

I agree, either Top Gun or (I know I will get hell for this, but) antique cars! wink.gif

Personally, I'd go with Vortex. While the ride still has an impressive visual impact....the ride is less than stellar, especially when compared to newer steelies. I don't want the coaster to go anywhere....but if I had to pick...

By the way, I just yesterday noticed how loud the coaster is. It was closed all day Sunday, and you could hear things in other parts of the park...not possible with the ride running. I could hear The Beast announcement/music on the lift, and even those wacky announcements from FoF. (this could be heard near the Eagles, BTW)

As far as Top Gun, this ride is really starting to grow on me, though I really miss the red track.

Why take out any ride? If the park removes a ride, then they are also reducing the capacity of the park. I understand that low ridership/maintenance are legitamite reasons to remove a ride. However, I don`t think the park is going to remove a major attraction like TG or DZ anytime soon. While I would be sad if we lost `Tiques this season, it isn`t exactly a high capacity ride. However, it is a ride and people that wouid normally ride that ride would be standing in other ride lines if they are removed. So a removal of a ride results in longer lines, although the difference is probably unnoticable. It will be interesting to see if PKI removes any rides this season or not, other than the Flight Team.

I highly doubt that area would recieve a flying super saturator. In part because I don`t think that plot of land is that large. Secondly, I don`t think they would put two similar types of roller coasters next to each other. Based on my visits in the past couple of years, I don`t think the water maze is that extremly popular. That is the only "ride" left from the original Nickelodeon Splat City.

Yea, you would think AT would open up a lot of land, but Beast is really close to it, you would never think so, but working there you can see the brake run, and the lift behind it. Action Theatre would be a good place for a large flat or 2, but nothing else. I have to say nothing needs to go out, but if anything Vortex, it's just too rough now, and it's old, it's too prime of a location.

Yes, Vortex is loud, I noticed FoF myself at my quick trip to the park sunday. The Beast lift is louder though, I mean you can barely hear the music while it is running, but when it's off, you can hear it by eagles!

Ironically, you can't hear The Beast music when you're right next to the speakers while the lift is going, but you can hear the music perfectly from inside TRTR's drive booth even when the ride is running. I'd love to know why it works that way.

Anyway, my ride to lose would have to be Drop Zone just because I don't like gyro drops very much. At a close second is Top Gun simply because it's not worth the walk to get down there---the ride it way too short. And if PKI doesn't even think that it's worth it to keep up the scenery, then it definately isn't such a great ride.

I wouoldn`t loose Drop Zone. It is the one ride that still frightens me every time I ride it when I get to the top. I`ve riden it dozens and dozens of times, but I still get sweaty hands when we get to the top. Perhaps it is because you are so high above the concrete below. I just find that ride to be one that hasn`t lost any of its thrill factor, regardless of how many times I`ve riden it.

I don`t think Adventure Express is going anywhere. It is still one of the highest capacity rides in the park. While it may not be the most thrilling coaster in the park, I find it to be an enjoyable, fun ride. An added plus about the ride is that smaller kids can ride since the height restriction is 44". Actually, the height limit for AE and The Racer used to be 42" a couple of seasons ago, but then they bumped it up to 44", I believe in 2000 maybe.

man coasterRZ you are really ripping on everyones ideas. this is you choose the ride not coasterRZ defend why the park would not take out the following rides. viking ship can have a high capacity but there is hardly anyone on it.

but for me i would take out TRTR because you could put a nice coaster out that way. and in the past TRTR has been known for being down a lot. i havent heard about TRTR this year.
