ohiocoasterfan Posted September 23, 2019 Posted September 23, 2019 First lift hill piece is installed and cranes have detached. 4 1
Kodistict Posted September 23, 2019 Posted September 23, 2019 Correct me if i'm wrong, but I was looking at fury's construction and it looked like they put up two lift hill pieces in the same day. 2

Are you referring to this? It's a support, but it's laying on the ground and not installed. It's been laying there for a week or two. 3
collin.klopfstein Posted September 23, 2019 Posted September 23, 2019 Here comes a semi with track on it 2
collin.klopfstein Posted September 23, 2019 Posted September 23, 2019 Double post: it has the top of the lift hill on it! 1
Maverick44 Posted September 23, 2019 Posted September 23, 2019 The crest of the lift hill has arrived! 5
LovinMeSomeBanshee Posted September 23, 2019 Posted September 23, 2019 I'm guessing this is the crest of the lift hill, as I think all other track not associated with the lift hill or brake run is in the back field. 4
Beast Night Rider Posted September 23, 2019 Posted September 23, 2019 Definitely looks like the hill crest!! 5

Maverick44 Posted September 23, 2019 Posted September 23, 2019 T-Bone (Yellow Crane) is on the move! 1
Kodistict Posted September 23, 2019 Posted September 23, 2019 When I was riding Racer yesterday, I noticed how big of a trench there is, if you see that trench in person, any of your doubts about the first drop being good will vanish (not like anybody had any doubts about the drop here in the first place.) 4

Oh yeah, absolutely. That ravine is a good 20-30 feet deeper than the surrounding terrain, and the drop goes right down into it. 4
LovinMeSomeBanshee Posted September 23, 2019 Posted September 23, 2019 It looks like the white crane is getting in position to install the lift hill supports either today or tomorrow. They're moving the supports now (probably to align them to connect them together) 3
Hawaiian Coasters 325 Posted September 23, 2019 Posted September 23, 2019 Okay since we have the start of the lift in place, I decided to give another shot at what the lift will look like from the tower. It took me multiple tries and this is the best I did. Might still be a little steep though. 6

I think that angle looks perfect, it's way better than I can do with a mouse with out a line straightener. 1
Maverick44 Posted September 23, 2019 Posted September 23, 2019 White crane looks to be in position to place next support/track. 3

Kingshaven Posted September 23, 2019 Posted September 23, 2019 They are probably getting everything ready for tomorrow. Its too late in the day to start something like that 3

Probably just getting in place for tomorrow morning. Keep your eyes out for Clifford soon. I am sure he will be lurking out there soon. Also right behind white crane it looks like they are putting one of the lift hill supports together. You can see it make a V. 2

LovinMeSomeBanshee Posted September 23, 2019 Posted September 23, 2019 It's strange that they're just plopping that piece of track down right there. That semi is seriously reversing out of there instead of turning around. LOL 2 4

LovinMeSomeBanshee Posted September 23, 2019 Posted September 23, 2019 I think those two supports go end-to-end to make one longer support. I don't think either of those supports laying there are long enough to go where we think they should (first set of supports for the lift hill) 3
Klabergian Empire Posted September 23, 2019 Posted September 23, 2019 So, since the base for the lift hill is in place, do you guys think that supports for the rest of the lift hill and other pieces of track will be installed throughout the rest of the week? 3
Maverick44 Posted September 23, 2019 Posted September 23, 2019 I think we are going to see these supports go up tomorrow with track. I am not sure they have enough daylight if it takes as long as the first piece today. 4
LovinMeSomeBanshee Posted September 23, 2019 Posted September 23, 2019 ^ Yep, I was wrong. It appears they have them in the correct configuration and are installing the "end cap" of the support that will attach to the underside of the track. 2
Beast Night Rider Posted September 23, 2019 Posted September 23, 2019 There’s still a lot of activity around the first support for the hill. I wouldn’t be surprised if we see that go up by the end of today...glass half full!! 2 2
MrSourNinja Posted September 23, 2019 Posted September 23, 2019 Looks like half of the first lift support is almost in if not already 2
