Kings Island Book?

I know that Charles J Jacques Jr., the author of the very well written Coney Island book was working on a book on the history of Kings Island. Last I heard about the book he was collecting memories and pictures from peopl at two Hamilton County libraries back in August. Does anyone know the progress on this book and when the planned release date is supposed to be? I know his books take time to write because they are very well written. After reading the Coney book, I can`t wait until the PKI book comes out. Anyone know anything?

The Coney book is awesome, as a ride op at Coney for three seasons, it helped me appreciate the park more this past season. Knowing where past rides were helped when people would ask "Is this where the Shooting Star was?" and questions like that. Yes, I am eagerly awaiting the Kings Island book, because the Coney one was so well written.

They sell chef.gif 's book at the gift shop at PKI. Its pretty good. A little small though - I know if we all put our heads together, we could write a 500 page volume on PKI. laugh.gif

Edit: Speaking of which, who here thinks it would be a good idea? The PKICentral.com guidebook to Paramount's Kings Island? Everyone could contribute reviews and stuff. I think itd be cool.

^ A PKIC Guide book? That would be interesting, but it would be in terrible taste to compete with one of our main contributers. Now, Charles has toyed with the idea of a 2nd edition, and I'm sure he'd call upon the great people of PKICentral to help reformat the visitor's guide or whatever, but that's between he and his publisher.

Should I ever write a second edition of The Unofficial Guidebook to Paramount's Kings Island - I would be HONORED to receive help from the esteemed staff and members of www. pkicentral.com.

HAPPY NEW YEAR!
