KIghostguy
I enjoyed this blog post. Is this the first year that Orion had the highest ridership?

I would imagine so. 2020-2021 we low attendance years because of covid. 2022 started the rebound to pre-covid levels. It just makes sense it would happen for 2023. BB1
Call me a critic, call me cynical but this just felt like a blog post from a theme-park enthusiast site rather than an actual park statement. The syntax felt rigid, the whole piece just felt unprofessionally written. It’s also interesting that the park is going with the “Kings Island Team” direction instead of giving an actual writer a spotlight. The content itself is interesting from a numbers perspective but other than that it feels like a step back from what we got when Don was producing content for the park.

There’s a reason why it’s not labeled with a person’s name, just “KI Team.” This way one person work cannot be compared to a previous person’s - for better or worse. Notice that the sister parks don’t seem to do this consistently, like KI appears to be doing.

Or this is the first step towards centralized PR with nobody local as part of the merger touting the savings of $200 million annually in expenses, with $120 million in cuts expected to be realized in the first two years following the merger.... DJSkyFoxx
It could also just be that a lot of places are losing that personal touch to their brand. Lets just say I have worked for a place where you would get a birthday card signed by everyone from the top down. There was that sense of validity, however small, that people took time out of their day to sign a card for you. Then it turned into one signature for everyone "The Admin Team". This kinda has that same ring to it.
TombRaiderFTW
Like... I'm not defending Chad, but after 7+ months of folks going after him and Elizabeth and the quality of their individual work, why wouldn't you cut off folks' ability to discern whose work is whose? Surely the criticism wears thin after a bit, regardless of the fact that there does seem to be consistent patterns in what has been observed about Chad's work. Like, yeah, maybe this is just changes from the top... but the merger has not happened yet. And there is a nonzero chance of it being rejected in the SIX vote--remember that a big shareholder for SIX was against it. Adjustments in preparation of that seem pretty premature. 1
