Was Phantom Theater meant to be cloned?

I know when the attraction first debuted in ‘92, it was noted in old videos that the ride was completely custom to KI with its concept, characters, and overall theming. A year later Paramount took over the chain and started implementing their IP, allowing Phantom Theater to stick around until the early 2000s. With that in mind, was Phantom Theater ever intended to be cloned at parks like Kings Dominion, Carowinds, and so on under the pre-Paramount chain? The original IP seemed too good not to milk and even to this day still feels underutilized.

My theory is that maybe they wanted to try it at Kings Island and see the reaction.  Then move it to the other parks.  But Paramount happened.

As for the present, it's an IP that Six Flags owns.  Ki has the nostalgia factor that other parks don't, but if it were put in, I'm sure people would love it.

Remember, when Phantom Theater was put in, it was replacing two rides that generations grew up with. So it has to overcome those nostalgia pieces.  It's still beloved by many this day. I'm sure it would repeat at other parks.

KECO was not involved in the development of Phantom Theater. They sold the park to Lindner's Great American Financial in 1987. The ride was developed under that ownership.
