CoastersRZ
Did they sell those at Kings Island? That is a pretty cool magnet. I wonder how much it cost, and if they had any other rides besides The Beast, like say, Diamondback.

I think there about $15 I think the last car on each beast train should have one of these on the bottom corner lol
The Interpreter
I also think it sticks on the paint...it's not a magnet...right?
CoastersRZ
Well why is it not a magnet? Seems kind of stupid to me, and if it is not a magnet but sticks to the paint, I will NOT be buying one!
The Interpreter
If it were a magnet, someone would remove it for you...probably while it was on your car parked in the park parking lot... I've never seen that type of chrome thingy as a magnet...yellow ribbons and such, yes, but for $15? No.
TOPGUN1993
Auto Emblems are suppose to stick to your car that way Robbie. So it's not a magnet its basically a stick on.
The Interpreter
Not unlike all those chrome fishes you see on ministers' cars (and others)...In fact, that same company makes those...see their emblem on the Kings Island Beast logo that TOPGUN1993 posted? CoastersRZ
Well, I wouldn't want to put something on my car Tatar adheres to the paint. It could damage the paint if I ever tried to rake it off.
Troikafan
They sell those in the Emporium. I considered buying one.

It could damage the paint if I ever tried to rake it off. If you use a hairdryer, it can be removed without paint damage. However, red cars, especially, may have different, unfaded, paint under the area where the emblem was. A magnet would have the same issue. CoastersRZ
Please, I`d rather not think about that. That brings back memories of the unpleasant variety form this past summer. Yes, I had "warm rain" fall on my arm while training a person to work Coney`s Ferris Wheel on a slow Sunday. Needless to say, we had to shut down for a bit so I could clean up. The mother of the person that caused the warm rain felt absolutely terrible!
The Interpreter
...known in the industry as the infamous "protein spill." Terp, old enough to remember when the remedy for that was a wee bit of water from a hose...and that was ALL.
CoastersRZ
Yeah. At Coney, we use a product called Chlor-Retain on it to sterilize it. But we often do not get hoses at most rides. Have to pan and broom it off, which doesn`t always work. Rock O Planes and River Runner sometimes have hoses, at those rides are more susceptible to protein spills. Believe it or not, but one of the last days of the season we actually had a "code brown" at Tilt A Whirl. I was the manager that answered that radio call. In that situation, we also had to use bleach on the car. I`ll never ride in car two on that ride...
The Interpreter
Ah, but at most parks, the cars are repainted and renumbered...as those who learned a favorite bird on Flying Eagles learned... Terp...who is sorry if you don't find that...comforting....

CoastersRZ
Yeah. And unfortunately, in my tenure at Coney that has happened two times. Both times, it has happened on that ride! Not sure what it is about that ride (or how the specific thing manages to end up on the seat of the ride in the first place...

I remember getting stuck on DB before the station and they hosed that seat off I dont know if they sanitized it though from what I seen it was just hosed and then sent out empty to dry off.
