Thrillsareparamount Posted October 10, 2005 Share Posted October 10, 2005 If Carowinds got a flyer which is rough but smooth and if PCW got a flyer which is plain old rough....Why Cant PKI get A smoother more advance B&M Flyer instead of the Zamperla or the Vekoma Flyer. The could call it Borg Assimilator and put it in the huge gap between the sob and The Beast according to map...the Coney Mall Area/Octoberfest This would be a huge step for PKI and could raise guest numbers surplus. And with Avater in 2006...this roller coaster would tie for the record for the Park with the most rollercoasters...in the third place slot with 16!! Clearly the area its going is still a bit occupied. I see no Avatar. I agree, Counting chickens a bit early. Though we can all wish we had 15 coasters. I also checked to see if they were, as you say, counting their chickens a little early by including any other new rides. Avatar is the only new ride they mentioned. Gordon Bombay Posted October 11, 2005 Share Posted October 11, 2005 First off, PKI's details released about the NU expansion in 2006 are pretty vague, yeah were getting Avtar, but it hasnt been confirmed TWO coasters are coming next year. They say you will fly on one of them.......well I dont know if anyone thinks anymore about reasonable possibilities but technically Reptar could be re-themed to Danny Phantom as the Rugrats popularity is fading hence the Avtar being the only confirmed coaster that has planned construction. However back on topic, I could see a big coaster called The Borg Assimilator at Kings Island. I think that owuld be cool, it wouldnt have to be a flying, maybe a floorless to take the place of Vortex someday. Green Rails, black supports, Borg spehere in the middle, fog lights, and sound effects. B&M floorless and inverts kick ass, i havent heard good things about their flyers, just that their slow and boring, wouldnt mind seeing a Vekoma Flyer. Nick Universe details ''Scooby Doo and the Haunted Castle and a Scooby Doo meet-and-greet will remain, as will the already-Nickelodeon-themed Rugrats Runaway Reptar suspended roller coaster and the Wild Thornberrys log-flume ride (the latter two of which will be "refreshed," Siebert said; Scooby's Haunted Castle debuted in 2003).'' Danny Phantom isnt a coaster yeah you will fly like a superhero it's a swing.. on Avatar you spin and is a coster..and yeah SGC is gone after this season. Yes, PKI has been vague with details about the new expansion. They claim that there will be six new rides in the new themed area. However, I have my doubts as to whether there will actually be six new rides/attractions purchased for the 2006 season. Several of the rides they described sound like they could be rethemes of existing attractions. The Spongebob walkthrough sounds like a revitalized Slime Maze, and the Dora ride sounds like a retheme of the small train ride back by the path to CDBB. Yes, Avator will be some sort of new roller coaster, some how involving spinning and from what I have heard possibly Delirium and a half pipe. Take that for what it is worth. It is supposed to be a first of its kind, and logically will be a family ride. If it is any type of mouse ride, I am sure it will be popular with kids young and old. So far the only confirmed casualty as far as rides go that I have heard confirmed is SGC. The park mentioned themed areas to Spongebob and Dora within the Nick Universe area which could be rethemes of some of the old HB attractions. The other new confirmed new ride will be the Danny Phantom ride, which will somehow be similar to the Flying Eagles, except maybe the riders ride in a lying position. Yeah Borg is only at Carowinds just so you know that coaster that took the life of borg was given to PC from PGA it was Stealth at one time. I would like to also see a Borg or Star Trek themed attraction at KI. There is theme elements on Borg, as you go up the lift hill you hear "Resistance is futile, we are the Borg". And GGG, it is possible for Paramount to build another flying coaster called the Borg Assimilator, they could if they wanted to, just because the one in PC was reloacated from PGA doesnt mean anything. And Borg was just for PC Iam not saying PKI couldnt have a star trek themed attraction Iam just saying that borg theme was pretty much for PC.
