No. But there is regional event will be sponsored by the Southern Ohio ACE Region and will be held at Paramount's Kings Island on February 25, 2006. PkiJake13
^ Where is there anymore information on the ACE thing, and do you have to be ACE Member? -Jake
BoddaH1994
^ Where is there anymore information on the ACE thing, and do you have to be ACE Member? -Jake If they operate it anything like how they conducted themselves at Beast Bash, you're going to have to be a member of their little club or fight with them to be able to go. TheKlockster
Naturally, you must be a member of ACE to attend an ACE event...
CoastersRZ
Yes, you must be an ACE member to attend. Keep your eyes out because there are generally reports and/or pictures posted on some of the broader coaster sites like CoasterBuzz or Ultimaterollercoaster. CoastersNSich
I will be attending tomorrow morning, as I am now staying next door at the Courtyard by Marriott in Lincolnshire. I might just report what went on...
TheKlockster
I have no doubts that the general public will find out what Avatar is before opening day. If you find out today, or find out April 14th - does it make that big of a difference? And if you want to attend ACE events - it only costs 50 bucks to join ACE. If you're that big into coasters - go for it. If not - don't complain about not being allowed into ACE events.

I tried to have the event opened up to PKIC members last year and, although I was originally told the public would be able to attend, in the end they were not. Fortunately for you PKI fans, PKIC (which is and always will be free) will have TONS of things planned in the coming years making ACE obselete to be a member of. No fanny pack required. Monkey Joe
Any news from pki from the No-Coaster Con? Edited January 15, 2006 by Monkey Joe
CoastersNSich
Now that I'm back, Maureen presented some great information about PKI in 2006: - Nick Universe will have 18 attractions total, including 6 new ones, like the Avatar Zamperla Disk-O. - The Beastie will become Fairly Odd Parents Coaster - A site plan (although not very detailed) was shown in the slide show, plus like wider paths, new food and shopping - SDatHC will remain as-is - A Hanna-Barbera film will be showing at the Action Theater, apparently replacing the SpongeBob film, at all 5 Paramount Parks - Will be one of the host parks for No Coaster Con XXX in June 2007 Also, David Mandt from Carowinds (formerly of KI) presented that PCar will re-theme and expand its waterpark to Boomerang Bay. Suzy Story of Kings Dominion previewed Italian Job: Turbo Coaster. Paramount's Great America will add Survivor: The Ride, a Zamperla Disk-O - the first CBS themed attraction in the parks Canada's Wonderland is building the Mission: Impossible Stunt Show arena to coincide with the release of M:I-3 Other Presenters came from: Six Flags Great America, Worlds of Fun, Cedar Point, Holiday World, Beech Bend, Geauga Lake, Philadelphia Toboggan Coasters, Sally Corporation, Lake Winnie, Indiana Beach, and Kennywood, among others. Note: Extremely tired, will edit for more info after checking notes Monday I just got back from Chicago, having seen downtown, then to watch my beloved Colts upset by the Steelers on TV. At least baseball and the coaster seasons aren't too far away!
Gordon Bombay
First PKD was getting IJ:stunt track then it was IJ: stunt coaster..........turbo coaster now? I though stunt coaster was the best.
CoastersRZ
Interesting, an HB film will be shown in the Action FX Theaters, replacing Spongebob? Seems kind of ironic that PKI is booting out HB only to have them return in the FX Theater. Why, oh why are they messing with The Beastie name! Fairly Odd Coaster just seems like the wrong type of name for that ride! Hopefully, the public will like the transformation and new rides. I can`t wait to see what some of the classics, like the HB Carousel and the kiddie bumpers look like after their transformations into Nick. TheKlockster
So Avatar really is a Disk'O? Thats stupid. The thing has a 48 inch height requirement I think. And it isn't even a coaster - it is a flat ride. At least I got my Ghoster Coaster credit when it was still around.
Captain Nemo
Survivor: The ride!!! OMG wait till Uncle Henry hears this!!

Scooby_Doo
- Nick Universe will have 18 attractions total, including 6 new ones, like the Avatar Zamperla Disk-O. What is Avatar then what type of DiskO? a rocking tug? cant wait to find out more about NU. - The Beastie will become Fairly Odd Parents Coaster I knew this was coming since last year. - A site plan (although not very detailed) was shown in the slide show, plus like wider paths, new food and shopping Sweet new food is always good news to me at pki because thats when I eat junkfood the most. - SDatHC will remain as-is Thats good news to me! I love the haunted castle! - A Hanna-Barbera film will be showing at the Action Theater, apparently replacing the SpongeBob film, at all 5 Paramount Parks I hope its the funtastic world of Hanna-Barbera~!!!! this is a shocker and I am very happy
RingMaster
I LOVED the Funtastic World of Hanna-Barbera when it was at Universal. That is, until they got rid of it and replaced it with the craptacular Jimmy Neutron Nicktoon Blast. ......but what about the Plankton free-fall ride? ......and the Danny Phantom flying ride-thingy? ......and what about my CRASH COURSE BOATING SCHOOL?! ....oh well. I just hope that the SpongeBob attraction replacing the water maze/Nick Theater will be good nontheless, even if it isn't the Crash Course Boating School. EDIT: PM the RingMaster for quick fix on his ideas for: -The Addams Family Reunion Coaster -Mission: Impossible Intensity Rush -Paycheck Stunt Experience (MI:SS rip-off for Kings Island )
King Bowser
So is this Hanna-Barbera Action FX theater Film new or old? This is awsome news looks like HB wont be leaving yet after all.
RevengeofTheSmurfs
I read this over at PKIAsylum A Hanna-Barbera film will be showing at the Action Theater, apparently replacing the SpongeBob film, at all 5 Paramount Parks This bit O' news really grabbed my attention I wonder when we will get more details. So Avatar is a DiskO that sucks I just hope my family and kids are not let down as I was when rode IJ:ST. Survivor: The ride LMFAO
ragerunner
Back in October I posted the following: Here is what I think will be the new rides for the Nickelodeon Universe: Avatar - I think this will be a new Zamperla coaster using the same type of design and technology as a Disko but a longer track. Plankton (Free Fall) - Zamperla Jumping Star Ride Danny Phantom (Flying Ride) - Zamperla Kite Flyer Azul (Dora's Train Ride) - Zamperla Rio Grande Train Ride Blue's (Jumping Journey) - Zamperla Jump Around SpongBob - I don't know. Zamperla will also do the modifications to the Carousel (turn it into Nick) and supply new bumper cars (or modify the old ones) for the Jimmy Neutron Outerspace bumper car ride. I just noticed on ExtremePKI that they are now says that PKI did buy a Zamperla ride package. I still hold to my post from October that these are the rides coming to the new NU. ragerunner
Our you talking about the info from ExtremePKI. If so, the info was located under Avatar in the forum. (Front page) If you are talking about what I thought would be the rides, just pieced together information from this web, new articles and years of watching the amusement industry. If this is true, and I don't know it is until the park makes the official announcement. I think it is kind of funny that either Shaggy or TREX post a reply to my october posting say "So much faith in Zamperla?" trying to steer people away from the post. Shaggy
Don't think it was me. I've known for quite sometime prior to October that it was indeed a variation of the Zamperla Disko.... BTW... It's not a shelf model... and is something designed specifically for Paramount Parks. FYI... The PGA Survivor attraction is the same ride but with a variation on theming. flightoffear1996
Im going to just wait for PKI to release the info before I believe anything.
TheKlockster
If it actually was a full circuit coaster like DiskO it might be cool - but still pretty big for the little ones. If not its just a carnie flat ride...
