  1. IMO a Huss Jump 2 (other than Top Spins and Giant Frisbees) is one of the better flat rides, and a ride high up in the air would be fun to replace a ride that used to take up some air space over there. (it's one of the few flat rides that doesn't look like it came from a traveling county fair.)
  2. Im just still so sad that there is no loop, and now if it won't be the fastest what will it have to it's name? The only reason I ever rode this was to experience a loop on a wooden coaster as Im sure a lot of people did. I really really hope this is a decesion CF did not take lightly and this was their last resort. Also contrary to all the rumors floating around I would love to see Millenium Flyer trains because then the ride could actually be fun and not painfull.
  3. Ok Here are my 2 cents as to what will be done say withen a few years. 1.) The area to the left of FOF could be used to develop a couple flat rides maybe something similar to a top scan http://www.flatrides.com/Ride%20Index/MondialTopScan.jpg or Cedar Point's SkyHawk. Also you put a bathroom somewhere back in XBase, a resturaunt and maybe a giftshop and you have a new area. 2.) Oktoberfest will be gone, which isn't a big loss honestly it's been shrinking as many others have already said. Some retheming and this area can be split among coney mall and Action Zone, and maybe some of the german theming could still be used as part of International Street? 3.) I would love to see Coney Mall be just that. When you walk into this area it would be awesome if it felt like Coney Island or an old carnival. Maybe add a couple classic carnival rides, and like many have already said a Huss Jump 2 where flight commander used to be seems like a perfect fit to me. 4.) Action Zone - If they were to get ride of TimberWolf Theatre not only could they build a couple flat rides, another attraction or possibly a small coaster, but it would make it SOO much easier to walk to Top Gun, and I think one thing CF wants to do with this park is make it more organized. PKI got a lot of critisism for being a hard to navigate park so something like this could help it out 5.) Finally the pond in the middle of RiverTown would be a perfect spot for a new roller coaster would The Dominator from GL fit there? Im very sad to say it but I think all the dry rides at GL are doomed for shipment to other parks. And everyone is saying how awesome it would be to have a B&M roller coaster at KI, well there you go how about the world's longest floorless coaster? Also if they re-themed this area, and the new coaster to be a lot like Cedar Points frontier town it would be amazing. Well thats my ideas let me know what you think.
  4. Do you think it's possible that Geauga Lake will end up being the old Sea World and the old Geauga Lake land will all be sold off?
  5. The ride part is def going. I honestly wouldn't be suprised if their is already a plan to re-locate all rides on the ride side and sell the land, possibly even with the water park side too, they just havn't seen a return on the investment it's too expensive to maintain.
  6. I don't pretend to know much about roller coaster companies but would B&M have anything to do with it if The Dominator was moved from GL to KI? Cause I bet that would be a pretty good posibility? I just know that that is a B&M.
  7. I guess Ive accepted that this park will go nowehere but I never really considered the idea of a tear down of the park. Although if attendance doesn't increase I will have to agree with you all and say that this park may go bye-bye. Too bad their are no good flat rides for Kings Island to get, but hopefully they will get Dominator.
  8. I didn't know that, so they actually replaced the gondola to one that had fewer seats?
  9. To bad geauga lake doesn't have any good flat rides that KI could eventually get. I could see KI eventually getting The Dominator (Batman Knight Flight) but that will probably be 2009 and geauga lake will either be just be a water park or a new condo development. If they do build a new flat ride Im sure it will be in Xbase along with a rest room and possibly a food stand. I think Xbase will break off from Coney Mall eventually and become it's own area, they have a ton of land up that way to expand. Also if they eventually revamped rivertown and kinda make it like Cedar Points frontier town that would be awesome, which again they have a ton of land there so they could expand that out to make a nice area inbetween TRTR and Nick. But TRTR will never be torn down it's a pretty fun ride, and between that delerium and drop zone KI has a repuation for being a park with good flat rides.
  10. Im not saying it's a bad thing it's just sad growing up with one park and now it will be something completly different. Don't get me wrong I think it looks AWESOME and I will def either get a job there or get a season pass next summer.
  11. While at Cedar Fair parks the prices go up, the employment benefits drops, and in some cases the rides start to dissapear. What parks or Park are you refering to when you say rides dissapear? Im gonna bet it's Geauga Lake or should I say "Six Flags Worlds Of Adventure" Once again an example of over development and now Cedar Fair is trying to fix this problem, but honestly I think Six Flags ruined this park and Sea World Ohio and withen a few years we may be left with a for sale sign and a new condo development.
  12. Honestly this sucks! I used to work at Wyandot Lake (what the waterpark used to be called) and I drove by it and there is litteraly nothing left! You can't tell a difference between where the parking lot was and where the wave pool was. And all the names suck! Wyandot Lake used to be a premier water park, and guess which company bought it and took it all to hell, just guess, the same company that did it with Geauga Lake which might see the end of its rope before too long as well. God Six Flags stinks.
  13. Honestly it wouldnt suprise me if Cedar Fair is purposly tearing down rides and not adding anything new so the park WILL fail. I mean the whole reason they bought it anyway was so Six Flags couldnt compete with Cedar Point.
  14. Does anyone else see the possibility for a new roller coaster in 08? Possibly a 50's themed coaster where Hurricane Hannah's Water Park used to be (The 3rd waterpark stage I believe). Not only has it been awhile since they built a coaster they tore the 2 best ones down. This would also help them finally clean up all the leftovers from the water park that still sits there. Also a new flat ride where Mr. Hydes Nasty Fall used to be would be nice (maybe they could move Time Warp there and move Starfish to the kiddie area) What does everyone else think about the future of this park?
  15. Only running one train, and I may be incorrect in saying this but I don't think the ride has opened when the park opened a single day since Saturday. There are still signs out by the parking that say "Firehawk may open late with limited capacity"
  16. What about a new flat ride where Flight Commander used to be. I know it's blocked by the baseball game but the original q-line is still there even.
  17. That would be awesome I love amusment park history
  18. Does anyone know if Cedar Fair plans to do anything with the Paramount Story Park? I really miss it and it's just so depressing to walk through it now.
  19. I think it has something to do with the new paint too, also the train prob has new wheels too right? Just a guess, also is the chain lift so loud just because it's new?
  20. It was kinda cool but still scary cause I knew right away something was wrong cause id ridden TMTR over 30 times.
  21. Well it did. It broke down while the gondolla was at the very top.
  22. Ok so I had just waited for Firehawk from 10:00 - 1:45 then went straight for my brothers favorite ride Tomb Raider. The line wasn't too long so after about 20 min we were strapped into our seats only to be removed and sent back to the line due to something that shut the ride down. So we waited for another 15 min and when we finally got back on the ride about 30 seconds from the end it broke down and we were in free swing for about 5 min then stuck when the ride stopped for about another 10 min. Has this type of thing ever happened to anyone else. Also today we got stuck for a very minimal time on IJST and Adventure Express.
  23. Honestly I always thought the lines in Boomerang Bay weren't that bad even in July. However the rubber matting they have in the lines kills me feet which makes it almost painfull to wait for some of the rides.
  24. The first drop is the best cause if you're brave enough to not hold on it's the best part of the ride to feel like you're really flying. And if you sit in the back row the loop is awesome cause you get whipped through.
