FYI one being built 2 years ago does not cassify it as "hardly being built anymore" it's not like we're calling for a B&M standup, now those were fads. Also in case you missed something Dominator has already been built they just need to strap it down to a few trucks and unload it at KI.

Seriously what other area water parks have been there? And also if what you say is true then the rides would be much more popular than they are, the whole reason they will start to take dry rides out is because everyone just goes to the waterpark. Also to be honest Ill be going but only cause I have a Maxx Pass and All Ohio Parking Pass and I will not spend a single dime there, maybe if a drink wasn't $4 and a hamburger and fries $6.

I hope it works out for you. I bought a KI Cedar Fair Maxx Pass and an All Ohio Parking pass, but apparently (according to each respective park) KI can now put an All Ohio Pass on a Maxx Pass bought at KI and Cedar Point can not add it either so on a trip to Cedar Point I had to change My KI Maxx Pass to a Cedar Point Maxx Pass just so I could add the parking to the pass. God they have a lot of kinks to work out of this system.

Do you think ALL of geauga lake will become a waterpark or just the sea world side and the ride side will be sold?

You are correct and Thanks. I could see the waterpark side staying open for awhile and it just being a waterpark, it works for the Beach. But the ride side will be gone withen 5 years. GL only charges $27 to get in at the front gate!!! and no one still wants to go. I mean the waterpark side gets pretty crowded and those people could go ride a roller coaster for free and they don't so what does that tell you? But if GL does get rid of the rides KI is the best candidate for the Dominator, while I too want a custom CF creation I think we will get Dominator as well it only makes sense.

Not directly, but it was closed temporarily for awhile, and they changed the restraint system and fixed it so that the cars could no longer go completly upside down. So that based on the fact that someone died on it popularity of the ride decreased so it was ultimatly closed.

I could be wrong about this but I have heard before that the trampoline thing was actually leased out to someone else, meaning the park itself isn't in charge of it and they make money weather or not it is profitable so as long as the company that runs it feels it is worth it it's not going anywhere. Also I also have said numerous times before that a challenge park would be the best idea, right inbetween the left side of the park and great wolf lodge (maybe get rid of timberwolf).

In any other case I understand, but on Memorial Day for an opening of a ride when the line is 4+ hour wait? Tell them if they wanna skip the line to come back a week later when it's only around an hour.

Ok wanna story. Memorial day weekend I waited 3 hours 45 min for Firehawk. There were 6 people in front of me at this point so after 1 more train I would be next. Then some mentaly disabled guest with a teacher comes all the way to the front of the line without waiting AT ALL and get right on in front of me and make me wait one more time for the ride! And as chance would have it when that train came back there was blood on a seat so I had to wait another 25min while first aid came to clean it up. Whats even worse was this was the line for the last row (which had a longer line than any other seat row). Im sorry but if you can stand and walk you can wait 4 hours just like everyone else!

I used to work at a waterpark and we has signs on some of the pumphouses that said "Danger Acid" and people would always ask the slide operators "Is it safe to store acid so close to the water?" The GP honestly is a bunch of idiots but they will read something like this and get all paranoid and freaked out and think something was wrong. Myself I understand it was a misunderstanding what have you, but I think the GP will take it a different way.

Or at least most people... Actually there are almost groups every day that don't pay to get in. They are usually the trouble makers. I used to work at an amusment park and we'd have days with groups from certain schools and in our park operations meetings for the day the GM would ALWAYS say make sure you have your employees guarding those basketballs with their life otherwise we'll lose them all. So if that's worth anything to this topic there ya go, it tends to be the most commonly stolen prize.

One thing Ive been wondering... This ride was designed to recline the seats on the lift hill to save time, but it was never used at GL. Then on the KI promotional video for Firehawk it showed the trains being reclined on the hill. Does anyone know why they don't do this?

I really do agree but honestly NO ONE in the GP knows these rides are hand-me-downs. Some guy i met at KI yesterday and was talking to asked "How can they call Firehawk the only flying coaster in Ohio, what about X-flight". The only people that know are people like you and me, heck GL re-painted texas twister this year and some of the GP thinks it's a NEW ride. And also KI really REALLY needs a B&M and GL has one that they will prob get ride of soon just seems to make a lot of sense to me.

Does anyone else wonder who put out bids for Magic Mountain that Six Flags didn't find suitable to take it over? Anyone think Cedar Fair was after it?

True, but FOF never uses only 1 train im pretty sure they use 3 just like The Beast. And the reason The Beast has a rep like that is cause its old, a record breaker, and a classic FOF is just a fun ride. But as far as Top Gun they need to add some fog over there and give it a new paint job SOON.

Ive seen people take BBs stuffed animals and other numerous items on rides, and ride ops instead of taking it and putting it to the side just tell them to "hang on to it".

If they tear it down how much you think they'll charge for a piece of it in the gift shops? I don't know but that would be one hell of a souveneir. Funny though. They could use it to finance the cost of a new coaster, although Im pretty sure they've already actually made money on SOB with all the lawsuits.

From my experience The Beast has almost always been a walk on for me and if not only like a 15-20min wait. FOF is almost never a walk on unless you run there first thing in the morning.
