In previous years that Ive been to park (every year before this year) the cut off ropes were much further into the park (past the Eiffel Tower) so you could go to all the gift shops and candy shops (including starbucks) on the main midway before the park actually opened. Does anyone know why they changed it this year?

Agreed but if and when they decide to remove the Tomb Raider themeing what would be cheaper re-theming an indoor ride, or just tearing down the building?

Again not saying its something realistic or they SHOULD do it just saying I personally think it would be cool if they did. If I recall correctly Sea World and or Six Flags Worlds of Adventure (now wildwater kingdom) used to have a stunt show in their huge theatre that faced the lake, and CF used it for a VERY stupid logger show, apparently CF isnt up on the whole stunt show thing. And I was not saying the shows lacked in quality, I just personally don't find that type of content that entertaining.

They could tear down the walls now and say it's their sixth show for the year. It would be the best show.

Does anyone remember that Tomb Raider stunt show? Sounds like it was pretty cool wish they had a show like that again. Seems to me no one really wants to watch all these shows where they sing old 60s 70s or 80s music. The best show out of all the parks to me has always been the one at CP in the Red Garter Saloon I think its called I wish they would build something like this at KI. But the best show Ive ever seen period is the car stunt show at Disney World, so I may be alone on this but I think a stunt show could be really cool, maybe if they built a stage for it where timberwolf is, it would fit with Action Zone rather well.

Does anyone else think they will add anything to SOB for next year? Maybe a tunnel on the big helix like beast or at the very least a tunnel where the loop used to be. Maybe they could even theme the tunnel? I just really think they need to add something to compensate for taking away the loop. (maybe some fog in the tunnels too)

And honestly I saw more people watching this ride, than any of the shows in the park at the time, so if KI is looking for new ways to entertain guests they should think of something like this.

Well one thing to consider is this, how many cars pay $10 after a certain hour, and how many of those cars have a parking pass. Because if I had to pay $10 for only 4 hours in the park I wouldnt do it. Also is that number then worth the amount the park is paying the employees working at the parking booth? Also then would those employees be more valuable somewhere else in the park where they could help the park generate more revenue per guest. And if they only have 1 or 2 parking booth attendants after a certain hour how backed up does it get? If you are waiting out there for 1/2 an hour thats a 1/2 hour the park could be making money off you. Just my 2cents

Disney is really the ONLY one that is good about making the building for an indoor roller coaster or indoor ride look appealing. So appealing in fact that most of the buildings for the rides are main landmarks for the park.

Honestly the most innovative and coolest looking top spin I have ever seen is Rip Tide at Knotts Berry Farm, if anyone is familiar with this you may or may not agree with me. The ride has numerous geysers that will shoot up and hit the riders in the face usually while upside down and swinging in from behind so they dont see it. When I visited Knotts earlier this summer there were more people just WATCHING this ride than there were in any line in the park! So if they replaced tomb raider with a ride like this and theme it to go along with the rivertown theme. They could make it outdoors but still keep it hidden with like a manmade forest area surrounding it maybe?

They SHOULD stop charging for parking when the Starlight Admission price starts (5:00pm), but thats just my opinion.

Hey I just found the website of the company that did all the special effects for Tomb Raider http://www.technifex.com/pages/projects/projects_tomb.html I guess there really have been A LOT of effects they have slowly gotten rid of throughout the years, did the monkey things really used to move?

Does anyone else think SOB looks weird with a blue train?

Does anyone else find that a blue train on SOB looks very out of place? Is this going to be the trains official color?

Would anyone else say that this is being done on purpose in order to slowly remove the Paramount Tomb Raider tie to the ride?

I am so excited, Im going on Sunday and im running straight for it when the park opens!

Really? thats so interesting, so that coaster designed was between Paramount and Vekoma but Paramount decided they only wanted to buy one of them so Six Flags bought the other 2, and then Kings Island ended up with it anyway, thats kinda crazy.

Every single time i've ridden it they've always shown that annoying pre-show video.

I also agree I was very confused to see a blue train on SOB it looked very out of place.

Sorry if this was already posted somewhere else, but on other forum topics id heard people mention that the audio was down on tomb raider the day that they went, but the more i've been talking to people, and my own personal experiences lead me to believe the audio is gone for good. Can anyone confirm or deny this fact? Is this part of trying to remove the Paramount movie tie to the ride?

Well my favorite color is lime green, I drive a lime green saturn and have a lime green cell phone, so I loved the color scheme of X-Flight, however it did seem so out of place at GL but then again so did just about everything at that park after Six Flags took over. As far as themeing for Firehawk I love the know X-Base thing and I say give CF one or 2 years and they will expand and make that a pretty cool area back there.

That looks like a very interesting ride. Im so jelous though Ive always wanted to be one of those guests to got in the news for getting stuck or not majorly injured on a ride. Worst Ive ever experienced is a freeswing on TRTR and SkyHawk
