  1. Hey it just needs some TLC give it a pretty new paint job with maybe some fog and lights (like the warning signs say it already has) even better add all this when they rename it and it will get some more love.
  2. I was thinking the same thing! That looks awesome!!! I also had never seen a Sky Swatter before that has now been added to my list of flat rides Id like to see at KI (1) Huss Jump 2 (2) Sky Swatter.
  3. Im really excited about meeting other KIC members and talking about KI stuff. Just yesterday durring my 3 hour wait in the rain to the be the first on SOB for the day I waited with a few other enthusiasts and talked about the park which was a nice change of pace from my friends who say things like "Someone died on Drop Zone" and "What SOB doesnt have a loop anymore?". So Yay now I just hope nothing important ends up poping up on that day (but seriously whats more important than a day at KI?).
  4. That is ironic esp when on top of that you consider the irony that that's where X-FLight was supposed to go originally.
  5. YAY I finally rode it today! It was pouring rain when we got there so because of the new policy and maintenance we waited in front of SOB for almost 3 hours after the park opened (First in line). And when it finally opened we were on the first train of the day in the very back seat. Very awesome ride, I forgot how good the first drop was and the new loop-less track provides good airtime so yeah I liked it!
  6. Does anyone know how clean the water in these rides actually is?
  7. ouch, just from holding his arms up?
  8. Honestly for next year I think their main focus will be just fixing up the park, maybe a couple paint jobs but nothing major. Their main challenge over the course of the next 3 summers I think it was is to remove EVERYTHING Paramount which means rides like TRTR and IJST will have to be completely re-themed if not just removed completely. The biggest thing we might get next year is a flat ride in X-base. And of course around or right after the Paramount license ends I think we'll see our first custom CF creation (or Dominator from GL).
  9. Seriously! Those mesh things they have over the Firehawk queue is laughable. I had an idea to take that area and make it like a roofed lounge where you can sit down after you get a number when you get in line. It'd be like waiting to get a table at a restaurant with couches to sit on and of course AC. Obviously that'll never happen but a man can still dream. Anything would be better than when I went out to Magic Mountain a couple weeks ago, apparently getting heat exhaustion while queuing for X is a common occurrence. No shade AT ALL, horrible park.
  10. Yes there are clearance regulations if you are holding your arms up, otherwise wed hear stories of people losing hands and arms, however if someone wants to reach out and touch it chances are they would be able to, and I believe people that say they have. I mean safety regulations also design restraint systems that people can't get out of but people that really want to get out seem to be able to do so.
  11. No I think I remember a press release where they stated "We are going to be moving the walls of The Beast's second helix 5 inches closer to the track to teach everyone, who holds their arms up even though the signs say to keep your arms don, a lesson."
  12. I honestly have decided I do like the blue train, now that I have seen it up close with the 2 shades of blue and the SOB logo it actually looks really cool in the station.
  13. Omg something crazy must have been going on that day cause I took a picture of drop zone and heres what it looked like!
  14. HEY ok so part 2 of this episode has been on youtube but I personally just added parts 1 and 3 so you can all watch it, and Id watch it soon just in case youtube removes it again Part 1 - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OgMg4CmZB6Q Part 2 - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T3KRItMzKe4 Part 3 - I tried my best, but Ive never added video to youtube before and I had a DVD quality file so somehow it didnt turn out too well sorry.
  15. I miss the loop but I wish they would add some tunnels to make up for it and maybe some fog in the tunnels!
  16. With all the recent problems on TRTR and lack of keeping the themeing and special effects up TRTR is my least favorite flat ride, and IJST is my least favorite coaster because it just doesnt fit, maybe if they built it where Days of Thunder is it would have worked better, coney mall just doesnt look like coney mall anymore!
  17. Oh seriously how clean is that water that drenches you from head to toe?
  18. haha I agree when I saw it doing test runs on the track I was like what the heck BLUE?! but up close in the station with the logo it actually looks quite sharp!
  19. So your saying after June 30th CF allowed for early entry, but further into the park than this year? And before June 30th they didnt have early entry at all unless it was insanely busy?
  20. Haha I know I went in and looked at a photo and counted the number of seats before I made that post so I wouldnt get one of you saying "No only 24 people would go to the hospital due to the new trains"
  21. I did NOT expect everyone to say they all like the new SOB better! I really can not wait til I (hopefully) get to ride it on sunday hopefully it wont break and send another 24 people to the hospital before then.
  22. Hmm guess I just happened to go on the busiest of days last year lol.
  23. I love Splash Mountain as well, you get a little wet but not too much plus the theming and layout are great, IMO. One of my favorite rides at night as well because I've rode it once when Wishes was going on and it was beautiful. I would love to see a blueprint of it to actually see what part of the mountain you are in at different parts of the ride. Now I assume your talking about the splash mountain at Disney World and NOT Disney Land, because the one at Disney Land gets you SOAKED even before you drop down the main hill.
  24. I think if CF decides to not renew their licensing with Paramount movie titles (which they wont) Tomb Raider The Ride is doomed for removal from the park and will make its way to another park, and a "new" outdoor flat ride will take its place.
  25. The only coasters I have ever seen that have designated seating for larger individuals are B&M coasters.
