    • Fans of Dolly Parton and Dollywood will be able to enjoy the sounds of the Smoky Mountains anytime, anywhere, with the launch of “Dollywood Radio.”  https://themeparksbydon.com/dollywood-iheartmedia-launch-new-dollywood-radio-station/
    • Intamin issued a recall after an issue was found with a similar ride operated by United Parks.  Not much Six Flags could do to prevent this delay.
    • Six Flags Mexico construction update: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NGi9P-tLriw Six Flags Mexico official announcement: https://static.sixflags.com/website/files/sfmx_boomerang.pdf Edit: Also, the play structure from Cedar Point's Forbidden Frontier was shipped down to Six Flags Mexico and will be part of the new family area.
    • Unfortunately these delayed openings have been a trend for both companies — even pre-merger. Kings Island opened Adventure Port and Camp Snoopy late. Apparently AP was a late decision, but Camp Snoopy had the same amount of time as every other addition normally does and was not finished until long after Opening Day. Great Adventure had to delay The Flash: Vertical Velocity's 2024 opening date to March 2025. Over Georgia had to delay Georgia Goldrusher by that same amount of time. None of these are to mention TT2 and its issues (the closing was justified, but it does not leave a good mark). This year makes it a trend with AlpenFury, Siren's Curse, Snoopy's Racing Railway & Charlie Brown's River Raft Blast, Quantum Accelerator, Wrath of Rakshasa, and Montezooma's Revenge all having delayed openings. Rapterra may be the only new roller coaster in Six Flags that opened with its park this year.  I could understand if Memorial Day weekend (or the weekend before) became the new standard of when to open new attractions, but that should be the backup date IMO. I hope someone with a big enough voice in Six Flags right now has made a presentation that says "Why are all of our new major additions opening after June 15th?" and is at least looking at how to get things right for 2027 attractions. Money and the merger may be an issue, but I don't think guests will happily put up with that excuse. If I were a Silver Pass holder, I might be questioning my next moves for when passes go on sale (presumably) in August.
    • From the looks of it, the ride doesn’t look too complicated but then again I’m not a roller coaster engineer. I do hope that these delayed openings don’t become a trend. I remember when rides like Diamondback, Banshee, and Mystic Timbers all opened on time, (Orion was a victim of the pandemic), and it showed the chain’s commitment to working with manufacturers who could guarantee that their rides would be up and running opening weekend. I understand that some delays are unavoidable- I remember when Banshee went down for about an hour or so on opening day 2014. If I am a business and I am investing millions of dollars into an asset, I want that asset to be ready to go so I can get people through the gate.. I really hope that these delayed openings are just fallout from the old Six Flags as well as the merger itself. I’m hoping that the new merged chain will set a standard for what they expect out of their vendors and drop those who underperform.
