  1. Oh, young grasshopper. Soon you will learn the ways of the Terpy.
  2. I would love to see a revamp of Action Zone, but if you look in the past couple of years you have had Flight Deck receive a new paint job and then this year Invertigo has received a fresh coat. I would love to see SoB open in 2013, that would be revamp enough for me.
  3. I suspect the "kid's" sudden silence speaks for itself.
  4. It is the mascot of a certain college, located to the east, and whose helmets have flags on them.
  5. I think it's called nostalgia.
  6. I saw one in New Jersey once that was 456 feet. It really was a top thrill, too. Terp, whatever he is.
  7. Only 76 feet long! The more I read the more I find out. Terp, careful reader.
  8. I could have sworn Iron Dragon was taller than forty-six inches. The drop looks higher than that.
  9. Based on what I've been told, I believe that it was determined that the 2006 accident was caused in part by heavy trains. In order to switch to lighter trains, they had to take the loop out because the lighter trains would not have had enough momentum to get through the loop. Someone with better knowledge of what went down can confirm or correct me. I too never got the chance to ride SOB, pre- or post-loop, so my personal preference would be for it to be re-opened in some form so I can ride it at least once. That said, at this point I'll be happy just to have a decision made.
  10. I believe they took the loop out because of the new trains, hopefully someone else can come in here to back me up on that or correct me. As for the loop being rough, the loop was by far the smoothest part of the ride, it was also one of the best loops I have ever been through, at the peak of it I could have sworn time stood still and you got some serious hang time.
  11. How is Beast not noticeable? The trees hiding it? Beast likes his privacy, leave him be.
  12. Sometimes the best kind of biography is an autobiography.
  13. As has been pointed out here, almost all of us went through that c0cky pre-teen phase that the poster in question appears to be undergoing right now. Part of that phase for many people includes being absolutely sure of yourself even when you contradict facts or logic, being absolutely sure that you know way more than adults, and feeling that any attention is good attention (as evidenced by the poster's hairstyle choices in the past). Mix those with the anonymity of the internet and voila... It's no different than the fodder you'll find on the park's Facebook, with people misinforming each other in circles, propagating rumors, and insulting anyone who dares question why their friend of a friend of a friend would know about the 500 foot coaster coming in 2013. Truly fruitless to correct or even become involved in that.
  14. I always consult the National Weather Service for my weather reports. www.weather.gov
  15. Only a dummy would ride a first test run of the season.
  16. lol it sounds like none of them have a clue

What you say is true to a point. However, that does not mean that all customers should not be valued equally. It is the merchant's responsibility to make sure all guests, not just the guests that pay more, have a positive customer service experience. To implement the Fast Lane program at the expense of sacrificing outstanding line capacity does just that-it creates a negative customer experience for guests who cannot afford the Fast Lane pass. So what happens? In the long run, you lose more customers than you gain In my job as a Customer Service Respresentative, I serve customers from all walks of life. The customers from better walks of life can afford the better products that our company offers. But guess what? We are expected to value all of our customers equally by providing everyone with the same outstanding service and treating everyone with the same level of respect and dignity.
  19. I usually just post. Terp, who most figured out long ago. Or did they?

Speaking as a smoker, I see no problem with the designated areas. We can go back and forth all day on the effects (or alleged effects) of second hand smoke, but for me it comes down to courtesy. If I want to smoke, that's my choice, but the people around me shouldn't have to smell or inhale it if they don't want to. So when I take my smoke breaks, I do it with courtesy in mind. As far as Kings Island goes - their areas are plentiful and out of the way of regular guests. If you're a smoker, be courteous and utilize these areas. If you don't smoke, avoid these areas. Simple.

Can't wait until Haunt this year!!!!!!
  22. This summer meet me at Kings Island, I'll take you to flight deck, then we leave that ride, i will have you look at SoB's supports on the track. Wow man, your quite annoying.
  23. What is also a cool thing i noticed... In the picture TY posted you can see where the park added more deck around the footer of the skyride once it was gone. Thanks for the thread J.D. it brought a once poster turned lurker out of slumber again. I rarely reply to things but I felt the need too for this!
  24. Friday's photos - 2011 wins As much as I would like to ride the sky ride, I wouldn't trade it for Viking Fury. Sure there's my "tastes great, lessing filling" memories from when I was a kid in the 80's, but even better are the memories made within the last few years with GatorGirl. With a height requirement of 40", VF was one of the first "big" rides that GatorGirl could ride. I'll always remember her first ride on it, when we got that little pop of negative g at the top, and looking over at her at that moment and seeing the big smile on her face and the giggle coming out of her mouth. She immediately wanted to ride it again... and I love the way she described it: "That ride tickles my tummy!" So VF all the way! Monday's - it's a draw. I still like the train, but yes it was better with the animatronics. But since I can't see those in the picture I refuse to vote one way or the other! Today's - hmmm... if it's HB's station, then 1974 wins. If it's Oktoberfest's station, then 2011 wins. I'd rather have a ride than a shop, but I'd rather have Adventure Express than a sky ride. Unfortunately I'm the same way. I've had people ask me how to get to area hotels, and I couldn't tell you which one's which. If it's not someplace I go on a regular basis, it's just a generic building to me that doesn't really get my attention. If the addition of a "tire shop" is the way the trend is heading, then please, no more! How does a tire shop fit in to an old time town? It doesn't.
  25. Actually, what you did makes perfect sense...the other station doesn't exist...
