No, because I don't have that kind of dough and my backyard isn't big enough to build a ride like that.8 points

In 1982, I was working Reds games at Riverfront Stadium and one of the players, Cesar Cedeno, took himself out of the game in the fourth inning, claiming to be sick. I arrived at the park that evening around 6:00pm and got in line for The Racer and right in front of me is Cedeno with a couple of his friends. It was a Saturday night and the wait time was about 45 minutes, so I was able to chat with him a bit and learned that he liked amusement parks and roller coasters. When I asked him about leaving the game because he was sick, he said he was sick. Sick of new Reds manager Russ Nixon, who had taken over for John McNamara a few weeks earlier.5 points

Because my attempt to play professional baseball or hockey ended in a contract dispute. I wanted a contract but no team in either sport was willing to offer one. After realizing I wasn't going to play professionally, I wanted to work in professional sports (baseball, hockey, football) or the amusement/theme park industry and the things I was good at or had an aptitude for made PR/media relations a natural fit.5 points

I remember the ride not being there for most of the park's history from 1972-1999, so for me it's not as strange without it as it might be for others.4 points

I love it more today than yesterday. But not as much as tomorrow.4 points

In this case, I can see why each question that Don answers gets its own, separate reply. Multiple quotes, especially the way the new forum works, could quickly get messy. One should be honored that Don is answering, rather than quibble about how.3 points

That's like saying the president doesn't have to obey laws. Does it say in the TOS that we have to use multi quote? EDIT: Just did a search of TOS. I see nowhere where is says multi quotes must be used. No laws have been broken, and we should be happy he is even interacting with us!3 points

So I had a dream last night that I was at the park with some other KIC'ers and we went to ride DB, but nothing was the same about the ride, trains, paint color, height, the queue was even inside! We all got off disappointed in the changes over the winter. It seems once the snow hits, the off season blues starts to kick in big time and KI dreams usually are part of my way of dealing with it. Although, I would like a dream where I actually enjoy my day at the park like I do when I actually visit.3 points

Flying Eagles. It was a favorite of mine going back to when it was at Coney Island. I have a lot of memories riding that ride with my parents, brother and sister when I was growing up. It was so much fun!3 points

Red. That was my favorite side when the ride first opened in 1972 and both sides faced forward until the spring of 1982. It was like going home again when I was able to ride that side facing forward again in 2008.3 points

I tried using my tablet to multiquote in the regular (not mobile) version of KIC and it wouldn't work. I hate using mobile version's of anything...1 point

Because he's Don, he doesn't have to! Or, perhaps he's posting from his mobile. Or, like me, he's stuck there!1 point
