  1. Went on Friday and Saturday. The park looked fantastic. Seems like there are more merriment charachters than last year. I saw 4 by the time I reached the Eiffel Tower walking in the park. Plenty of places to get hot chocolate. The Winterfest mugs were definitely not a prominent with the new Drink Plan Plus coffee/hot chocholate option. I did notice many more cookie boxes this year. I can't remember how much Ms. Clause's cookies were last year but I think they were more than this year because I don't remeber seeing as many boxes around the park last year? 20.99 seems to be a better price. Finally Shooting Star is fantastic! Such a great call back. Nicely thought out and executed. Well done KI!!!!! Nice to see the park putting in something that is sure to inspire conversations between children and their parents/grandparents trying to explain exactly what a drive in is/was.

  2. The focus in operations is just different now, and dispatches across the park have gotten steadily worse over the last 5-6 years. Removing "Priority Seating Not Guaranteed" signs, shrinking ride crews, and reducing operational budgets have all caused the decline in efficiency. It's a story the park has grappled with forever, every new department head has a different idea on how these things should be run. When ambition replaces passion, all becomes hollow.

  4. I looked back at the passholder survey Kentucky Kingdom put out a while ago. In their Fireman's Landing artwork, it showed the Drop Tower being located near Mile High Falls as well as some other new flat rides.

  5. It's like that this time every year. They always take the back curtain off in the fall and then replace it in the spring.

  7. There are a lot of suggestions for Kings Island (Sxi Flags) would be several things: 1. Special Events in Spring months (April & May) like Peanuts Celebration and/or expanded Food & Wind Festival would be a great kickoff to the season before the Summer operation begins in May. 2. Yes---With The Bat & Banshee there.....I could absolutely foresee the possibility of renaming Action Zone into Mythical Village or Haunted Zone....It could go either way. 3. A new roller coaster. I would not be surprised if it will become Vortex The Grip of Fear by way of B&M or Vekoma or Premier 4. New restaurants 5. Renovated bathrooms 6. Expanded shows 7. I would not be surprised if a new themed zone area will be added and be called Jungle Xpedition the same way as what Kings Dominion does.

  8. It is such a fun way to end the year and begin the new one. My son Logan hit the 54" on the very last day. Two weeks ago he was just a hair to short and he could not get his 54" wristband. He was ecstatic to be able to ride FOF. We ended up getting 3 rides in on it. We took a ride on the train: Logan drove us on the KMAA. Dodgem Waiting for the fireworks on IS. A KIC tradition for the Mods is after the fireworks we take a walk around the park. This allows the parking lot to clear out. You also get your first walk in the park for the new year. We stopped and took a picture. Left to Right: @pianoman, @malem, @IndyGuy4KI's daughter Kaylee, and @IndyGuy4KI @electricsun and I before we left at the end of the night. We hope you have a wonderful 2023!

  9. It’s my favorite day of the season every year! I love the party atmosphere after 10:00! It’s always a running joke within my friends group that something inherently goes wrong with the Tinker ballon drop, and this year was absolutely no exception. Still, the balloon drop is a lot of fun to watch and kids LOVE it! I did the IR buffet last night and I do have some thoughts: The food was excellent, service was great. 10/10 would recommend. They did it a little different this year. I bought tickets for me and my girlfriend and another couple bought their tickets. Because of this, they couldn’t seat us at the same table. They had assigned the tables this year, while it was first come, first serve last year. I totally get why they did it this way, with a sold out event; but, it kind of took away from it when our group was seated at side-by-side high tops instead of all together. I wish there was a different way to make reservations so that you could guarantee that. Even the “two top, four top, etc” options like they had for the 50th ice cream would have worked, I suppose. Or even have it so you can pick out a seat like when you buy a movie ticket. Just food for thought. I suppose we will just buy them all together next year.
