  1. I, like many of you, wanted to see the park in the snow, but it appears that the web cams are frozen (no pun intended). I don’t see any lights in the ghost stills, so I’m guessing they’re without power. Can anyone confirm this? Stay warm and safe out there, everyone!

  2. Out of the 3 camera views, this one is probably my favorite for now. I find this view interesting, like you @BoddaH1994. I partly wonder if they've removed the ice layer already and we're seeing the plywood? I wonder this, because of the palets to the bottom right of the frame and then the lift on the bottom left.

  3. They appear to be working now for me as well. Another point of interest. No snow on a lot of the ice rink? I wonder if they put heaters under it to help accommodate the ice melt so they can take it down.

  5. The videos are working for me, but don't see any sign of lights/electricity.

  6. Removing Skyflyer would open up a nice amount of space, but I'd hope the park would wait until they have a major plan to redo Action Zone to do it. A wild mouse coaster might be able to fit there, so maybe it could be a good family-friendly attraction. I feel similarly about WindSeeker, but unless something new and awesome goes inside Action Theater, I don't know that it would be worth it. It would open up the area and allow better access to Action Theater, but the way KMAA juts out into the midway cuts it off from the rest of Coney Mall. There's probably a good way to make the whole area not a bottleneck that I can't think of though

  7. The amount of tweets from a single user claiming it's a record breaking water coaster?

  8. I’m still on my Haunt hyperfixation (which is very normal behavior to be having in January) so I made a layout for the Phantom Theater house idea (and also two other house ideas I had which I wanted to share, but didn’t think they deserved a whole new topic)

  12. I agree. For one, the storytelling was better for Good Gravy, and as important story telling is, GG itself followed up with that story with the details and theming in the queue. Which, even if there was good story telling with SSBR. Guests would have gotten into the queue of SSBR and noticed there was little to no storytelling, details, or theming at all. I joke and tell folks SSBR is a nice, unfurnished home. Kings Island has a talented team when it comes to decorating. They display it every season during Halloween Haunt and Winterfest. However, that talent was omitted with SSBR. I mean heck, Snoopy stands flag-less, in the dark on top of the roof of SSBR. A main Peanuts character who interacts with the ride. But nobody thought to put a light up there so he can be seen by the people on the ride at night? GG is a better executed coaster overall, and that's why it earned its spot. SSBR got the ride experience right. You add storytelling, details and theming to SSBR, it would be #1, possibly even earn itself a GTA.

  13. Is anything that you guys are talking about visible in this picture? This is from July 1994.

  14. I believe that is was just as you suggested Ryan. Some picnic tables in a gravel area that guests could bring the lunch they brought with them and eat at. It was also pretty well shaded from the trees. I think I may have been there once to eat in 1998, the first year I had a season pass. I was only 13 at the time so I don`t remember much about it. It was accessible from the parking lot, and if you wanted to eat there, you would have to leave the park and go down to it. I think there may have been a set of stairs that took you down to it from about where the lift for Invertigo is, but I maybe mistaken.

  15. I believe that this picnic grove existed until Face/Off / Invertigo was installed in 1999. From what I understand, there are still some remnants there; however, it's not much to write home about. If you look over in that area from Invertigo's lift hill, you can clearly make out that the land was unnaturally formed. When I heard about this about five years ago, I think there were bicycle games (those temporary metal gates) stored there, but I haven't given it much thought since then. What I don't know is whether this was something inside the park, or if you could only access it from outside of the front gate. From what I've been told, it was less of a "picnic grove" and more of a set of picnic tables where people could eat from the coolers they brought. I never experienced this, so I'm only speaking from what I've heard. Any firsthand knowledge would be greatly appreciated! For those of you who have no idea what we're talking about, it's the clearing just north of Inverting.

  16. I’m guessing they will do this once Banshee needs repainted. It was 14 years between Diamondback being built and when it was repainted so maybe we can expect AZ to be replaced with DC theming in 2028?
