  1. Update: I've been doing some more work on my KECO park design, including seasonal events! Right now I'm working on FearFest (and a rebrand of Halloween Haunt) and getting some ideas out as a branding exercise. For those wondering, the font is CCPrimalScream (from AdobeFonts), it comes in red and in green, and it looks like the original FearFest logo without being a direct copy. I'd like to add some blood drops or textures to it so it can be its own thing, but that can be done later. The current Halloween Haunt logo uses Gill Sans Ultra Bold with modified kerning and a rough texture applied. I was directly inspired by Billie Haas' rebranding exercise of Six Flags FrightFest (https://www.billiehaas.com/six-flags-fright-fest). She has more awesome work all over her website, so be sure to check it out! The new FearFest logo in red and in green. The new logo with a (fake) sponsor. (FYI: FrightFest is sponsored by Snickers and Haunt was once sponsored by SafeAuto) And finally, the new logo in monochrome — you can't always rely on colors in your logo! Let me know your thoughts! I also have a summertime haunt event idea in the works that I may share soon.

  2. If Kings Island put you (yes you, dear reader) in charge of one non-ride/non-coaster last minute addition to the park for the 2025 season, what would it be? Assume all of the permitting/ordering/installation is taken care of and goes smoothly. I would put some money and effort into upping the amount of trees, shade, and dedicated cooling stations around the park. That way guests who would like a cup of cold water can get one without needing to go to a bee-covered soda dispenser or spend $4 per bottle. It would also help the park in their hypothetical quest to remove water dispensers from soda machines. Maybe put one in that Rivertown refresh stand by the arcade that is always closed.

  3. I have a feeling that a Madhouse will be built here, but anyways~ THAT'S WHAT I THINK OF WHAT THE MINING COMPANY NAME WILL BE!

  4. Unless...they made an indoor roller coaster similar to Revenge of the Mummy at USF. Make it themed to Rivertown and some abandoned mine (Like Mystery Mine at Dollywood). You could call it "Mine Shaft Madness" and it be located in the "Rivertown Mining Company" This could be a logo: Plus, another indoor ride during hot/cold days and a new Winterfest addition! (Although they probably don't have enough staff...) And, @Vortex1987 gets the eye on the Triangle of Light door

  5. I'm curious, if you could change one thing about any ride at Kings Island, what would you change? For example I would change the que for The Bat so you don't have to walk a mile to ride it! Tell me one thing you would change about any Kings Island ride!

  6. Cool idea! That would make Express better than Racer IMO. The whole way up the lift hill you're building anticipation for a possible drop or surprise, but alas, no drop. Just a break run. But if there was a twisted drop or something, you nearly escape the temple and get back on the right track! Not just turning into a gut-punch filled break run apparently, "getting on the right track".

  8. If arrows weren't becoming extinct nowadays, after the last lift Hill of Adventure Express, I would add a helix after that little drop that would just go straight into the station afterwards. Give more to the adventure right?

  9. Looks like on the webcam for Planet Snoopy/Camp Snoopy, we have work being done on the concrete in front of the Snoopy Boutique building, maybe for new concrete or pavers even? They are definitely busy this off season!

  10. I’ve been in the Lava Pit in the TRTR building. Does that count as a jacuzzi? Lara was there it was great! If Carowinds rumored water attraction next year does well I can imagine other parks doing the same. But a jacuzzi, in the winter it might be nice but I’d rather have an ice rink 10 fold. As for a jacuzzi during the summer I don’t think the medical center has enough beds for the number of guests that would experience heat exhaustion/dehydration.

  11. You know, I did find it shocking that the Soak City "expansion" didn't include any sort of swim-up bar...

  12. I find the walk there boring, but the walk back nice. The Bat always looks so far away on the top of the Eiffel Tower...

  15. I would add more scenery and hidden animals along the route of the K.I. & M.V. railroad. Particularly along the stretch from Rivertown to just past Mystic Timbers. To be more specific, I would put in a pioneer village scene in that empty space across from MT. And in the wooded area just before then, is where I would place the animals. And just for fun, I would put in Bigfoot for people to spot.

  16. Add an animatronic snake in DBack's queue and some other props OR make The Beast queue switchbacks wider and add some fans. It gets way to hot in there and I always feel like I'm standing on top of people.

  17. Imagine this, you walk into the park expecting to see the normal royal fountains, and instead you notice the Kings Island sign is missing, and is that - that a red carpet? You gaze further down where the sign was and see the red carpet transition into steps, INTO, the fountain. Welcome: to the Royal Hot Tub *insert Jurassic Park music* The fountain is a waste of space, it’s old, valuable real estate, has to be converted every winter and then brought back to life, what if we could collectively enjoy the magic of the fountain all year long by converting it into a hot tub? SF/CF loves building on the legacy of their parks, and this would be the perfect way to honor and continue the legacy of the Coney Island pool, by creating this centralized hot tub for guests to enjoy. Also imagine after a long day of winterfest going for a soak, floating down I street, closing your eyes, smelling all the tasty treats, taking in the magic of the season. As an upcharge maybe they do like adult only night senor frogs style with foam parties and rave lasers, have a DJ on the Eiffel Tower? Thoughts?
