They are seriously going to have to figure out how to handle Preferred Parking now that they oversold the prestige passes so badly. It was especially bad tonight since they plowed all of the snow into one lane of the road along the walkway to the park, so you had people circling around trying to go both directions in one lane.
tonight, Saturday 12/20 is the perfect storm. It’s the warmest weather of the event, it’s Saturday, and school is out for break. It’s the first big crowd of this year’s event
Sometimes when I look at a photo of Monster like the one above, I appreciate how complex the ride is, especially considering the time from which it came. I realize its complexity is also kind of its downfall in some areas, but really its such a fascinating hunk of machinery for how old it is. I will be glad to hear all the little motors whirring in sync again next season!
I figured if it was the actual ride model, it would’ve appeared on this site by now, but it does look like the outer façade, especially with the entrance being on the corner
IIRC that might have been a model of one of the Sesame Street dark rides at IAAPA. It does bear a striking resemblance to the original Phantom Theater facade from this angle.
I don’t disagree that DB changed the landscape, but I argue TR:TR had worst placement of any ride in that section:
