  1. I regularly check the permit reports for Mason and I’m skipping past the 600,000 dollar haunted house investment, but I had to post about the Son of Beast station being condemned. Happy reading! 2. I felt a great disturbance in the Son of Beast revival fanboy movement, as if millions of voices suddenly cried out in terror and were suddenly silenced.

  3. Wow, I can't believe Six Flags got the city of Mason to condemn the Son of Beast station as part of the elaborate teaser campaign for an RMC! They've outdone themselves! My hopes are UP, baby!

  6. I’m actually really upset that Hotel was the next to go since I have emotional attachment to this one, but I’m super hyped for whatever’s coming next. As far as I’m aware, Plague Productions is working on this house as well. Judging from the facade construction I’ve seen so far, it seems to have a post-apocalyptic or sci-fi theme. My thoughts are that it would be an underground bunker or mining area setting, but that’s just based off of what I can see from WindSeeker. The last I’ve seen from it, they built a billboard onto the facade that probably gives context to the theme if anyone can read it from up there. They enclosed the exit portion, but the permit lists it as a retheme so I’m assuming the basic layout will remain intact. I could not personally see this being an individual upcharge like Conjuring. With how these permits work, I also don’t know if “Project 13” is a codename or the actual name for the maze. If it was a codename, that would actually really fit a Jason maze though.

  8. I'm going to use @The man's research as a jumping-off point for this, so thank you to Mr. The Man! The "Project 13" maze cost fascinates me since it has such a high price. It's lower than the $900,000 price listed on the permit report for Phantom Theater (PT:ON probably cost a lot more than that), but it still feels really high. What could we see for that price? A total gutting of the building (or one side of it) to allow for a larger maze? A redo of the queue line so it makes better sense? If anyone can find the price Carowinds paid to gut their Action Theater that would be helpful to know for comparison. I'd love to see this ready for 2026, though I'd understand if it's for 2027. As much as I enjoy Hotel St. Michelle, it's within one of the largest maze buildings in the park and only uses a relatively small portion of its footprint. I do hope the park has something new coming this Fall if they want to justify the continued upcharge for mazes. Some guests will see no reason to pay for what they experienced last year without something new, especially after parks like Kings Dominion removed the upcharge halfway through the event.

  11. I do look forward to an eventual revamped Action Zone. I find it is the area on the dry side I spend the least amount of time in. My thinking has been that they wouldn't do something with the Son of Beast station demolition until they could tie it in with other updates. I did also notice on the permits site that there was a queue renovation in Planet Snoopy to maximize capacity. I wonder what that is for.

  12. Just a small update to breakfast as I don't see it been announced on here, but as late June they now offer either bacon or sausage patty meat option on the breakfast sandwich. I've had the sausage a few times and has not disappointed and have noticed a few differences is that the croiffels are bit smaller now not a quarter size but more a 1/6 size given. Still, I do enjoy having breakfast at the park and hoping it gets expanded next year into Grain & Grill for more options, and gives more seating area and more exposure directly at the front of the park. Chef Bailey definitely has done a great job with this new food offering.

  13. Thanks. I get so tired of the “guests are abusing it” excuse. You scanned into the park. You get 2 meals 4 hours apart. Unless you are acting like someone else by leaving, putting on your disguise and scanning in again (I’m sure someone has done it or at least thought about it) it’s not cheating. Getting a lid and taking it to go isn’t cheating. Sharing it with your kid isn’t cheating.
