  1. The website has been published, featuring the two new Halloween Haunt experiences for 2026! New this year are Jason: Blood Reign and Metal Massacre. These mazes are included with the purchase of a Haunted Attractions Pass or a Haunted Attractions Express Pass. All-Season HAP/HAEP are available for purchase online and are only valid for admission to mazes within a guest's home park. Note: The Conjuring: Beyond Fear is a separate charge attraction and is not included with either Haunted Attractions Pass option. Official website: https://www.sixflags.com/kingsisland/events/halloween-haunt While I'm still a little upset at the lack of a new show and the retention of the game show on the bandstand, I think the two new mazes will be great and worth the money that the park is spending on them.

Just don't put your data center on my farmland!
  3. The thing is, the park likes to drag their feet on information that’s not really new news. They act like they have some huge announcement to make but in all reality it’s always a let down. Here’s to hoping that Pumpkin Eater or Coney Maul finally goes away and is replaced with a new theme. Would love to see them do a “Die-In Movie” themed zone over where the shooting star drive-in is. That would save them so much time in turn around for Winterfest.

We know KIC keeps going down. We're in the process of building a new server to replace the older one. We are getting close!
  5. Double post to separate my thoughts from the announcement. I think a new scare zone may come in 2027 or 2028 after some of the other mazes are replaced. There were a few parks that announced 4+ new experiences (mazes, scare zones, and shows) today and I'm hoping that Kings Island will see some of that same love in the coming years. We desperately need some more shows and a few new scare zones (that aren't just a short/narrow pathway); although I have a feeling that some of the legacy Six Flags parks also needed that as well. Kings Dominion is now going to host their own Wake the Dead show in the Kings Dominion Theater, so maybe it will be a test run for KI to have it as well? I think it would mostly fit in front of the Tinker's Jingle Bell Ball set depending on how the character blocking is done. That "Die-In Movie" concept would be really cool as long as they still manage to have a good place for the ride graveyard. Set up almost all of the same items as for Winterfest, but change out a few props and make the movie clips be classic horror films. I'm also a little sad that there was no Phantom Theater overlay announced — not that it ever had a chance of happening in the first place — but the opportunity for it will remain open if the park ever chooses to do so. An easy seasonal ride reprogramming is the kind of thing that I think Six Flags would be up for since it wouldn't require much after the initial setup.
  6. It opened during America’s Bicentennial and changed what riders could expect from a roller coaster. Now, 50 years later, Cedar Point’s Corkscrew is being honored for its place in coaster history. FULL STORY: https://themeparksbydon.com/cedar-point-corkscrew-50th-anniversary-ace-landmark/

That is exactly where it was going. Now we have to start over. LOL
  8. I just had a little chat with park president Tony Carovillano. It was a very nice chat. He told me a Vortex replacement is a priority to him and that they're working on it, but cautioned that money is tight and that he hopes they can get the money soon. He also mentioned the drone show can be moved to develop the site. Also discussed a few other things with him and based on my conversations with him he really cares about the park and I actively saw him picking up trash when walking.
  9. Color me (not at all) shocked- nothing new and no additions. That game show thing is a fine pre-show for a real show at the bandstand. As it is, why even bother with building a set? This is pathetic.
