You should thank them. The way those restraints are designed, they only have a maximum of 4 clicks. On both The Beast and The Racer, all riders are required to lower the lap bar a minimum of 2 clicks in order to ride. Had you not been able to get the second click, you would NOT have been permitted to ride. Technically, it is not the ride operators responsibility to get your second click if you cannot get it yourself. They could have simply not permitted you to ride.

What exactly do you expect us to say here?

That's interesting, I was unaware that Action Theater had an on ride photo. Perhaps you should post your on ride photo for those that did not purchase one.

Graffiti in Diamondback Line Already

Part of the reason you don't see a huge gum problem at Disney is the fact that gum is not sold anywhere on Disney property. Even if you stop by the Hess gas station outside the park gates to fill up, you're still on Disney property and can't buy gum (or Pepsi products. ugh) Now, that's not stopping people from buying gum before they get on property, but it does amazingly stop most of the gum problem. In addition, as reclaimer and I have both learned; the Disney parks never sleep. As soon as an area is cleared for the night, the crews hit the streets. Sure gum hit's the ground, but they will walk the streets and hit it with a pressure washer. You wouldn't believe how much cleaning and touching up happens evey night. I know for a fact, in addition to maintainence, the Artist Prep Dept. inspects each ride regularly. The other thing about Disney parks is simply that people respect the parks. On the opening day of Disneyland, Walt told the opening crew, "If you keep a place clean, people will respect it, if you let it get dirty, they'll make it get worse." It's more than just trash though. The parks are built upon this. This is why the parks are built with concrete instead of asphalt. Concrete can be painted and it gives a much cleaner appearance. Also, while at Disney you'll find that *most* guests will take the time to find a trash can. There are of course the bad apples in the bunch but as you learn in Traditions, every cast member at Disney is a custodial host at in addition to their normal role. -
Really? Seems to happen to me all the time. In fact I tend to hear people cursing on the ride a lot more than I hear people explaining what is about to happen.

I dont think anyone's recieved their "special gift" yet.

Do you already have a park season pass? Does winning a seat in the auction include admission to the park?
-
You can get in line at 9 o'clock with a gold pass, or buy a ticket and get in line at 10 o'clock.
-
so it will be marked down? and i can just like, buy my tickets, and come back later to ride, right? yes Thanks! I assume you're the one who makes the decision for that kind of thing? I use to work on SOB and spent quite a bit of time at Skyflyer. Skyflyer typically has lower prices early in the morning throughout the week in the summer. It is very unlikely that the price will be down on opening weekend. The price is often adjusted by the games department "on the fly" based on ridership.

I don't think this is a fair poll. I think at least 75 percent of the members here couldn't remember much past Paramount. This is kind of like holding a taste test between 4 drinks where 1 drink recipie is still being perfected and where the majority of people haven't even tried 2 of them. BTW, I dont remember a Kins Entertainment owning the park, lol.

The Crypt so much potential. So little time...

Can someone provide some sort of source or proof that Tomb Raider: the Ride used music from the Last Temptation of Christ? If someone has a copy of the soundtrack to the movie, post it on putfile. I still have a hard time believing that that is true. I know Kings Island has "borrowed" music from movies before, *caugh* Beast lift hill *caugh*, but in the time I worked at Tomb Raider I NEVER heard that that is where the music came from. -
Honestly, I think it takes a certain level of maturity to be able to attend an amusement park and just sit and appreciate the place as a whole. There have been many times when I have gone to Kings Island not to ride rides, but just to enjoy the atmosphere. Same with Disney parks. There were times when I would go any of the 4 Disney parks just to try to observe subtle details. At Magic Kingdom I could spend 7 hours and only ride the riverboat and the train. Hollywood Studios, I could sit and watch the "Citizens of Hollywood" “streetmosphere” for hours. Epcot; World Showcase could consume an entire day for me. And Animal Kingdom; well I would say the great majority of people barely get a taste of what Animal Kingdom has to see and to. How many know where the tigers are. What about the lemurs or gorilla's are. Same with Kings Island. I have gone to Kings Island simply to ride the Eiffel Tower, the Train, and to sit and watch trains go through The Vortex, etc. To me there is nothing like a warm summer night in Coney Mall. Not even riding rides, just watching and listening. You cannot fake that kind of atmosphere. So call me a "tourist" because I don’t go to the parks just for the rides. Like I said in another thread, if I do go to the park on opening day, I'll probably not try to ride Diamondback because that is not a priority of mine. Also like The Interpreter said, these are the people that come with their family and spend the money that make park improvements possible.
-
Oh yes, VERY entertaining . Realistically, probably 0. I may or may not go on opening day but riding Diamondback is not a high priority for me. I'm sure it's going to be a great ride and all but I'll get to it when I get to it. To be honest I still haven't ridden Firehawk yet. I rode it as X-Flight, and I'm sure it's better now but same as Diamondback, I'll get to it when I get to it. It's going to be very difficult visiting a park with no FASTPASS® type system.

It's because Mickey Mouse was actually speaking through you, and she was caught off guard, lol. She should be used to that kind of magic both being at Disney and being a fairy. Afterall Mickey can be in a million places at once!

Definitely have to disagree with you there. Other than the fact that they both have to do with America, the HOP and The American Adventure are totally different shows. The HOP is a collaboration of our nations presidents with a short movie, and a speech from Abe Lincoln and our current president. The American Adventure on the other hand is a very intense walk through the history of the United States, with Disneys most advanced Animatronics figures, that is hosted by Ben Franklin and Mark Twain. It's considered the most elaborate Animatronics Stage show at any Disney Park Worldwide. I also think you underestimate the World Showcase pavilions. Every pavilion has things to do and things to see. Literally off the top of my head is: The British Invasion, The English Hat Lady, MoRockin, Off Kilter, French Waiters, Italian Mime, World Showcase Players, Masquerade (Italy), Morrocan Belly Dancers, Dragon Legend Acrobats, Matsuriza (Japanese Drummers), Voices of Liberty, Shows at the American Gardens Theater, Spirit of America Fife and Drum Corps, Si Xian, Mariachi Cobre (Mexican Band), Miyuki, the show at the African Outpost, and I know I'm missing a few. In addition there are the more subtle details, such as the Mexican animal sculptors, the Japanese tin toy museum, the Twinning's Tea Tour, the French Perfume Seminar, the Viking Museum in Norway, the model city in Germany, and more. Honestly the Pavilion with the least to do is probably Germany because 60% of the Pavilion is taken up by the Restaurant and Dinner show, which is fantastic by the way. Also I assume you have not been there since the release of Kim Possible's World Showcase Adventure. I don't care how much anyone wants to judge it, it is very cool. Though I know people do, it's definitely something that you should not put down until you try it. One thing I learned from working in Disney (and I'm not saying that you did) was to never say something sucks unless you can really back it up because there is a good chance whoever you're talking to will love it. My roomate told me that the Comedy Warehouse at Pleasure Island was terrible so I didn't go for the first 2 months I was there. Then I went with a different friend and found out it was AMAZING. Unfortunately by then, Pleasure Island only had a little more than a month left before it was to be shut down forever. Boy was I ****ed at that roomate. Lesson learned, think for yourself because you may have an idiot for a roomate. Sorry if I come of harsh. Epcot will always be special to me. Especially considering the EPCOT was the original focus of the Disney "Florida Project." That’s why I said that the EPCOT was the original focus. EPCOT is an acronym, Epcot is a name, and EPCOT Center is the name it opened. Believe me, I know ALL about Walt's original intentions for central Florida. I wasn't trying to be mean, I was trying to say not to talk bad about something unless you're sure the other person will agree. Otherwise they'll be ****ed if find out they missed out on something cool based on your recommendation. Also just so you know, the Abraham Lincoln animatronic is always supposed to be more sophisticated than the current president. It's one of the guidelines that is followed during HOP refurbs. Oh and the other thing; I hope you don’t think they're building a new animatronic for Obama. Obama's body panels are going on George W's frame just as George W. did on Clinton. Sure they'll update the actuator rack as they do during all refurbs, but other than that it's still the same figure.

Well in case you aren't sure, this thread is simply a place for people to post nonsense to increase their post count. After all, whoever posts the most, knows the most!

Who said most of Diamondback's brothers and sisters aren't intense?

That's why I would never trust one of those games. I used to know an operator of one of those games and the operator is given a small remote that adjusts the game to the person. According to her there are 3 settings; one for children, one for women, and one for men. However, the actual settings for each mode can also be adjusted as well so you never know what you're going to get. This was in 2005 so things may have changed. The only game I like but rarely play is Wac-A-Mole.

Anyone who thinks that the amount of posts you have matters (and there are clearly several in this thread), needs to watch this now: Remember, this is not Congress. "filibuster-ing" posts here to be a "top poster" is not going to gain you any respect, and will likely just **** people off. Being new is not a bad thing. If you want to earn people's respect; first of all, know what you're talking about before posting. (remember, It is better to be quiet and be thought a fool than to open your mouth and remove all doubts.) Do research if necessary. And for goodness sake, make sure you use punctuation, grammar, and spelling. Nothing makes you look more ignorant than a post full of misspelled words, with improper grammar, and lack of punctuation. One or two errors isn't bad, but a post like this: Really? It doesn’t matter to me if you're a top poster, because all I see is someone that doesn't care enough to attempt proper communication. Sorry but until you change that, you'll never leave the "noob" stage.

The Adventure Express station music was set up in stereo with the music being one channel and the station master being the other. Though I am not positive I believe there was some problem (licencing?) with playing the Indiana Jones music after the 2007 season causing either just the music channel to no longer be broadcast or the entire station loop to be removed. Reguardless, the operators have to spiel now considerably more than they ever had to before causing them to leave the station mic on which mutes the station loop by itself.

And then of course dont forget running into ME and Brittany at Disney. It's a shame you were unable to ride my Jungle Cruise. I would have made sure it was interesting . Keep giving updates. I gave up on trying to do Disney trip reports. Especially after living there there's just too much to cover.
